Other notes: - This car is one of only 732 Yellow Coupes produced in 1986. out of 35. 09 total cars that year. - This is a later ‘86 as far as the production run goes. and (a little known fact) like ALL of the 1986 convertibles and the late runs of the coupes (an estimated 8. 94 coupes only). this car’s engine has aluminum heads. not iron like the earlier cars. which gives the later cars an extra 5hp. Not a really big deal. but still an interesting point. This car also has the later style and more desirable telescoping hood support rod rather than the awkward & clumsy folding hinged support. - I still have. and will include with the car. the original wheels (without tires). and also a full set of stock wheels (actually from an ’87) in really nice shape WITH Kuhmo tires mounted that also have tons of life left on them. - I have all the extra Lug Nut Caps for the extra wheels as well. plus extras on top of that. - I still have and will include the original radio (Bose AM/FM/Cassette) which still works to the best of my knowledge (it worked when I removed it around ten years ago) - I do have the original ratchet for removing the roof – these tend to get lost a lot with C4’s. - I have lots of extra parts which will be included. as well as service manuals. window sticker. build sheet. sales literature. service and repair records from over the years. and probably some other goodies as well. So what’s wrong with it?: - On top of the rear bumper there is a section of paint that has bubbled up and cracked. (just the paint. not the bumper) It’s not terrible. but it’s still there. - Like just about every L98 engine on a C4 Corvette. it drips some oil on the ground. I just keep an eye on it and keep the level up. I only have to put about half a quart in every few months or so. This car is a driver. not a trailer queen. I enjoy driving it every chance I get. and it’s one of the nicest. and most cared for ’86 Corvette drivers you will find. Don’t miss out on this one. Also. just for your peace of mind.
