Up for sale is a 1964 Monza Spyder Convertible. The body was restored by a professional bodyshop in 2007. The body was stripped down to bare metal and all rust was cut out and replaced with new metal. All four floor pans were removed and replaced with Clark's reproduced floor pans. The body was then painted in the factory Tuxedo Black and clear coated. Rechromed bumpers. NOS Spyder emblems and NOS Monza crosses were installed. The white top is in great condition and is a nice bright white and has a good. clear rear window. The Black interior is in great shape. No rips or tears in the seats with factory front seat belts. The door and quarter panels are in great shape as is the dash pad and top boot. Carpet is in good shape. All the factory guages and electrics work with the exception of the windshield wiper washer. There is a working modern AM/FM cassette radio installed. A non-working factory AM radio is available if you would like it to go with the car. All the glass is good and the windows roll up and down as they should. Trunk is in good shape and has no holes. The mechanicals of this car have all been taken care of. The front and rear suspension is in great shape. The rear springs have been replaced with new Clark's springs specific for the 64 model year. All the shocks are new. The original 64 rear camber compensating spring has new bolts and rubber bushings. The brake system has been completely rebuilt with new shoes. new wheel cylinders. new rubber hoses. new steel lines and new master cylinder. The 4 speed transmission was rebuilt with new front and rear ball bearings. seals and gaskets. A short throw shifter extension was installed for easier shifting. The 3:55 differential was rebuilt with new bearings. gaskets and seals. The rear axle bearings have been disassembled. nbsp;cleaned. inspected and regreased with grease zerks installed for future maintenance. The front wheel bearings have been cleaned. inspected and repacked and have new grease seals. The original YR code engine was rebuilt using new rings. rod bearings. main bearings. nbsp;o-rings and seals. Heads were deflashed. new valve guides were installed where needed. valves were ground and seats were given a three angle grind. New valve springs were also installed. A new pilot bushing. throw-out bearing. clutch disc and new solid steel flywheel were installed. Turbo works great and the original Carter side-draft carburator has been rebuilt and works like it should. New tires were installed on vintage polished E. T. slot mags and have less than 5000 miles on them. All in all this is a great looking and nice driving car. Thanks for looking.
