Up for auction is this beautiful. hard to find 1957 Chevy Nomad. This is a California car and has no rust and retains all of its original sheet metal and even the original paint! The rood was repainted about 10 years ago. The factory undercoating is still present underneath. This car only has 76. 00 original miles and I drive it at least once a week when the weather is nice. When I bought this car. it had the original 283ci engine with power pack option (4 barrel carb) and a powerglide transmission. I drove it like this for a year and then I put a 350ci engine with turbo 350 transmission in it. Nothing was modified to install the engine and I still have the original engine and transmission which will be included. I also have the original wheels. hubcaps and exhaust manifolds which will be included. There are several new parts that were installed in the engine when it was installed. It has a new Edelbrock camshaft. new Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold. new Holly Carburetor. new double timing chain and a new oil pump. The car has power brakes and the rear brakes and wheel bearings have been replaced. The front brakes and wheel bearings were replaced a while ago and are all in good shape. You’ll notice that some of the pictures have an orange look to them; this is from the flash on the camera. The car is clean underneath and free of rust. I tried my best to get close up pictures of the areas where they typically develop rust. and as you can see there is none. All of the body mounts are solid and original. I have the rest of the interior pieces that are new in the box. I have new back seat covers. and the side panels for the rear. This is a very enjoyable car to drive and take to shows. It is a real crowd pleaser and I have received many compliments. I really hate to part with it as I have spent years looking for one in excellent condition. but the time has come to sell it.
