For sale is a very nice example of a 1966 Chevrolet C10 Custom Cab. This truck came off a farm in Iowa where it was for its entire life until the 1990s, when it went to Pennsylvania. It was in Pennsylvania until I got it. It is a very well documented truck with the original ad from when it was for sale in the 1990s, the owners manual, and an assembly book. It has its 283 V8 under the hood that runs like a top with a 4bbl carburetor, backed by a 3 speed "Three on the tree" transmission that shifts with no issues. It also has a dual exhaust that sounds good. This truck also has a factory posi rear. Work that has been done to it are a brand new clutch, new tires, a beautiful brand new wood bed, Custom Autosound AM/FM auxiliary radio with kicker speakers, copper-stainless steel brake lines, front wheel cylinders, brake shoes all the way around, new fuel pump, new sending unit, passenger side fender is brand new, hanger bearing, u-joints, u-bolts on the rear axle, hub caps, heater blower motor, headlight bezels, valve cover gaskets, exhaust manifold gaskets, chrome wiper blades, and other little things. The radiator was flushed and has new coolant with a fan shroud. Options the truck came with are in the glove box in the picture. The truck drives fantastic with no issues. It was my daily driver up until now, it is super reliable, and it never gave me an issue. Starts up easily and fast idles as it should, transmission shifts as it should, and the truck drive straight down the road. Stops fantastic. New wood bed recently installed with pine wood, 2 coats of stain with 7 coats of gloss poly-urethane. The top of the rear chassis was coated in POR-15 while the bed was out. The interior is nice, the seat has one stain in the middle. The floor mat is still original from 1966. Everything works on the truck. All the lights work, turn signals, brake lights, headlights, highbeams, marker lights, dash lights, reverse lights, all work. All the gauges work and read accurate. The heater works. The horn works, and even the CB radio powers on. When I installed the radio, I put one speaker in the factory location in the top of the dash, two speakers under the dash, and I made one to go outside with a wire to the bed for drive-in movies and whatever else you would need music in the bed for. Works great. I'll include instructions for the new owner. The black paint spots in the pictures is POR-15 where there was some surface rust just to preserve it. The clear coat on the hood, roof, and passenger door is peeling. The drivers side rocker has some holes in the top, and a new one is included. The cab supports need replacing as well, but are also included with the truck. The passenger side kick panel also has some holes, but is also included. the bottom of the driver's door needs some attention. The bottom right corner of the tailgate has a small hole as well. Comes with a brand new driver's rocker panel, cab supports, and kick panels. The body panels are all solid, and have no bondo. The cab mounts are good and solid. The grill has some damage on the passenger side. The truck was originally baby blue. You can take a magnet anywhere on the body. All of the wheel wells are solid, and have no signs of rot. The brown-gray color under the cab is old undercoating. You can see where it was chipped off, the original black paint of the chassis was preserved perfectly. underneath. Fenders are solid as a rock. Floor pan is good and solid. It's overall a very presentable truck that can be daily driven, used on the weekends, or just taken to shows. It gets thumbs up and smiles from everyone wherever it goes.
