Car description

Please visit for additional photos, information and a video. You are looking at a real survivor 1963 Chevrolet Corvette. The 1963 coupe is known as one of the most iconic and collectible Corvettes because of the one year only Split-Window! This beauty was stored in a climate-controlled garage under a cover for 43 years before it was brought out, freshened up and made road worthy again. Since then it has spent the last few years in the current owner's collection. One of the last photos in the set shows the car in that storage right after the cover was pulled back. It is a numbers-matching vehicle that is mostly original, including the paint and interior. The paint was given a new clear coat a few years ago to protect the original paint underneath. It is a factory Riverside Red with a red interior. It had A/C installed at the dealership when it was new since only 278 came from the factory with A/C. Under the hood sits the original 327 CID V8 engine, rated at 300 horsepower. Out of the 21,513 Corvettes built in 1963, only 8,033 received this upgraded engine. It is backed by the original 4-speed manual transmission that makes driving this beauty a lot of fun! Being an early production Corvette, built in November of 1962, this Split Window coupe has an AM radio, fiberglass headlight buckets, storage depressions under the seats and roller-type catches for the gas filler door. This Corvette comes with the original owner's manual, original T3 high beams, original radiator, and a set of Kelsey Hayes Western Knock Off Wheels. It currently rides on the stock wheels and hubcaps. The mileage on the odometer is believed to be actual based on the car's storage history and originality. The 1963 Corvette had a lot of changes over the 1962 and is easily recognizable from any angle. The split window in the rear, simulated hood louvers from the front and other more minor changes make these cars unlike any other Corvettes. This vehicle is eligible for an Extended Service Contract through Classic Vehicle Protection. Please visit warranty for more information.
