STK 2844 1962 Chevrolet BelAir 'Clone' Sedan - 409
Over the years the '60s full-size Chevrolet platform has provided a strong base for performance enthusiasts. There is a lot of room under the hood and a sturdy frame/suspension beneath. This 1962 Chevrolet 2-door 'post' is a perfect example. Based on the VIN number, this Chevy began life as a Biscayne sedan powered by a 235ci 6-cylinder 'Stovebolt'. Since then, the Chevy has had numerous mechanical upgrades along with a partial restoration in 2020. The recent respray of Black is in good condition and 'BelAir' trim has been added. A reupholstered interior is an invitation to go back in time - the classic steering wheel looks to be the factory piece and there is an aftermarket full gauge package w/tach. The owner states that power is now furnished by a rebuilt Chevrolet 409ci 'W' code engine. It is fitted with a 2x4 intake and two Edelbrock 4-barrels. Exhaust is routed through factory manifolds to a custom exhaust. The 'W' is backed by a 4-speed Muncie manual transmission with Hurst shifter and posi-traction differential and 4.11:1 gears. The chassis is equipped with manual steering and 4-wheel drum brakes. This Chevy 'post' is going to be someone's fun ride for years to come. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
