Car description |

Same owner the last 22 years. He finished a body off the frame restoration in 2010. We have a folder of pictures and receipts.
EXTERIOR: The body is exceptionally nice, one of the nicer ones I've seen in a long time. It's very straight, the panels fit very well and I don't see any signs of damage or cracking. The paint is a very smooth, glossy red finish. There are few scratches and touch-ups. Overall the chrome and trim is better then most too. Up front the chrome grill, bumpers and license plate brackets are sparkling. The stainless on top of the fenders are mint. The chrome around the windshield, chrome window pillars are excellent. The trim around the convertible top lid, top latches and door handles were replaced. The rocker moldings are really nice but do have some light scratches. The rear bumper is straight and shiny but does have a nick or two in the chrome. Tail lights look new. New windshield and gasket. White convertible top was replaced during restoration and is nice looking. The removable hardtop was repainted, the white headliner is excellent. The plastic windows and trim are original. Hubcaps and spinners are very nice, radial tires have plenty of tread. Door jambs are painted glossy.
INTERIOR: Wiring harness was replaced. Seats were rebuilt with new springs, cushions and upholstery. Dash pad was replaced and fits real nice. Door panels look new. It has the original style gauges. The Wonder Bar radio has been rebuilt with internal modern upgrades. The shifter is correct with reverse lockout. The shifter bezel is excellent. New visors, carpet is very good. Has floor mats.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has a 1967 327 block with correct 340 hp heads and intake. Rebuilt Carter carb with choke tube going down to the stock exhaust manifold. There is only 1,000 miles on rebuilt and balanced motor. The radiator was replaced, has correct fan shroud, fan and expansion tank. It also has correct pie pan air cleaner and finned valve covers. The original vin tag is still properly attached to the steering column where it belongs. I wouldn't say the motor compartment is show quality but is is clean and respectful.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Clean trunk compartment painted satin black. Bottom of the trunk lid and the jamb is gloss red. The latch and the rubber mat is new. It does have a spare tire and wheel under the mat.
UNDERSIDE: The body was removed from the chassis during restoration. Solid frame, smooth metal painted black. The front end was rebuilt- shocks, bushings, springs, tie rods ends, king pins, were replaced. Steering box was rebuilt. In back springs, shackles and shocks were replaced. Looking up at the motor, it is clean. It has chrome oil pan, clean starter and fuel pump. It has it's original vin # matching T-10 4-speed trans. It was rebuilt, new synchros and misc gears. Clutch and pressure plate were replaced. It has a posi rear. The nylon axle travel straps are in place. Brake hoses and lines were replaced, brake cylinders were rebuilt. The fiberglass floors look good, not damaged.
This is a beautiful Corvette that has had significant mechanical work too!
