This is a hot ticket! A 1970 Chevelle SS with a big block, 4 speed, cowl induction and gauges! Clean southern metal finished in beautiful Cortez silver with no vinyl top. I drove it home last night. It is a great perfomer.
EXTERIOR: It is a clean southern body. Absolutely straight, even along the bottoms. Under the doors have a clean factory seam. The quarters appear to be original. The doors fit square and flush. I did not see any bubbles. It has an actual cowl induction hood the flapper door functions. The metal flake is laid out evenly. It has a very glossy finish, the stripes are painted on smooth to the touch. Up front it looks like the grill, headlight bezels, bumper, emblem have been replaced. It also looks like all the stainless trim around the windows and rain gutters have been replaced. The mirrors, door handles and emblems are new. In back it looks like the bumper, tail lights SS rubber pad have been replaced. The rear window and the windshield are new, side glass is original. The door jambs are clean with glossy paint. New weather strips, window seals and sill plates. It rolls on 20 inch Coys wheels with performance Dunlop tires.
INTERIOR: It looks like it's been pretty much all replaced. The seat upholstery, seat backs and chrome trim looks new. It could use new cushion in the driver's bottom seat. The door panels and armrests look new. It has complete set of original seat belts. Nice carpets with new SS embroidered floor mats. The the console looks original, light scrtaches in the aluminum trim. The headliner looks new and tight, the dome light works. It has a tilt column with a new deluxe wheel. The dash pad is excellent. The instrument panel and heater control panel are real clean. The factory gauges and tachometer work. Clock is only correct twice a day! It has a retro stereo with aux plug, two 6x9 speakers in back and an amplifier.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The 396 motor was rebuilt by previous owner. It runs strong, idles great. It has a bump in horsepower with a performance cam, aluminum intake, dual feed Holley carb and headers. It has an HEI ignition with Taylor wires. The engine is very fresh looking. The aluminum intake is a factory GM. The cowl induction air cleaner system looks complete. It has a chrome timing cover and new chrome reproduction valve covers. It runs cool with an upgraded aluminum radiator and water pump, new shroud and dual electric fans in front. It has spring clamp battery cables, a new battery is bolted down properly. Alternator and wiper motor look new. Squirters and horns are hooked up. The bottom of the hood is painted silver, has hood insulation.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: I looked up inside the trunk and it has the original quarters. The bottom of the trunk lid and the jamb are painted nicely. The decal and weather strip look new. It has an SS wheel for a spare, the jack assembly is complete.
UNDERSIDE: Clean, dry metal. The floors are smooth, not patched up. The inner rockers, floor braces and lower quarters are clean. Apoears to be original uncut metal. The front end has been gone through. Shocks, tie rod ends look recent. In back it has new shocks and a chrome sway bar. Looking up at the motor it looks fresh, new fuel pump and high torque starter. The Muncie 4-speed is clean. Trans mount bushing and linkage look new. It has a 12 bolt rear end, I'm guessing around a 3.73 gear. The fuel tank and straps looks new. The dual exhaust has Flowmaster mufflers and cowbell tips. It has been upgraded with 4 wheel disc brakes.
This is a very desirable car. I really enjoyed driving it. Now its your turn!
