This 1949 Chevrolet 3100 is a full custom restomod that takes the smooth lines of GM's Advance Design pickup and gives it a hardy dose of modern sleekness. And while this classic is irresistible to show off, great upgrades like the powerful fuel-injected V8, overdrive transmission, leather-lined A/C interior, and full upgraded suspension make it irresistible to drive, too.
This truck has a look of distinction and quality from every angle. The light green metallic paint has an amazing depth and the light rolls off the shine with a slippery smooth presentation thanks to serious time and effort during the restoration into making the panels likely better than any pickup you've seen before. Competing for this level of shine are the mirror-like front bumper, bezels, and iconic five-bar grille. The 17-inch billet wheels are not only adding to the polished style, but also draw attention to the truck's sporty stance. And more of that performance look are in sleek details, like the color-matched sport mirrors, flush rear roll pan with frenched lights, and the flush-fitting hard tonneau. And when the struts smoothly open that top, you can see a glossy wood bed that reminds you the only hauling this truck will ever do again is hauling home trophies.
The interior has a true artist's touch that could win awards all on its own. The saddle leather looks like a top-of-the-line modern truck. It starts with two terrific-looking bucket seats that also have the kind of bolstering that make them all day comfortable. The headliner, door panels, sun visors, lower dash, and armrest center console have all been done to match in this very uniform total package. Even the bold exterior green returns on the door tops and dash. You have the best in modern features, like ice-cold R134a air conditioning, power windows, power steering, and an AM/FM/CD stereo cleanly hidden away in the glovebox. The artful tan and chrome steering wheel is mounted on a color-matched Flaming River tilt column. It gives you a clear view Dakota Digital gauges that fit in the factory housing but offer a full modern readout package.
With a build so awesome thus far, you know they made sure the engine bay would attract a crowd, too. The color-matched ultra-smooth custom inner panels really funnel all your attention to the V8 power within. This is a polished and tidy motor that also has the unmistakable look of modern power. It's Chevy's 350 cubic-inch Ram Jet fuel-injected V8. Not only does this have terrific power right out of the box, but the SS shorty headers add both muscle and rumble to the package as it feeds the Magnaflow dual exhaust. Plus, this fresh setup has all the right supporting components, including a serpentine belt system, steel braided lines, and an aluminum radiator w/electric fans (to help keep you running cool even in traffic w/ the A/C running.) This is truly a fine driver, right down to the four-speed automatic w/overdrive. And as you look at the undercarriage photos, you're going to spot even more amazing upgrades such as the Heidts SuperRide independent front end, four-link rear with adjustable coilovers, and four-wheel power disc brakes. And it all sits on a strong Roadster Shop pro-touring Stage 3 frame. Of course, when you're looking at the underside, you also see an award-worthy presentation that will have you putting a mirror under this one wherever you park it.
Rarely do you find such a custom build that has all the best in driving features and is also ready to take home trophies. So if you demand the best of everything, call today!
