1956 Chevrolet 3100 Panel Project

This vehicle is mostly complete with a 235ci I-6 engine that will run with a little work. It has driven around the yard as recently as last year. The engine has a remanufactured tag on the block and actual miles are unknown. "3 on the tree" manual transmission, has enough clutch to drive in the yard, but assume a full mechanical and aesthetic restoration is what it needs. It will need brake work as well.
The body looks to be complete, the truck features a natural and very turquoise baby blue patina to it. Script on the side says, "Stone City Tune Up / Bedford BR5-0001".There are multiple grills and other parts with it, including patch panels for the bigger rust issues, in the common areas. It has already had a front floor installed. All glass is present, however it is old and some pieces are delaminating or have small cracks.
The Interior is sparse, as they usually were in work trucks. A later model bench seat, believed to be out of a 90's Silverado has been added, however it is not bolted in. Likely from when the front floors were installed.
The truck sits on polished centerline style wheels and the tires are old but holding air. The exhaust system is complete and a Flowmaster muffler has been added.
We have tried to list the basics regarding this vehicle and we want to be clear that this should be considered a full restoration project. Having said that, these 3100 Panel's are desirable vehicles and well worth the time and potential investment of restoring it to whatever level and whatever taste of the new owner.
