A 1988 Chevrolet Camaro convertible like this is about finally fulfilling a promise, and doing it for an affordable price. After all, it made a lasting impression when you first saw one of these drop-tops in a perfect coordinating color combo like this. Its mix of muscular and sleek lines made you vow right there that someday you would own one. Today can be that day!
The factory-correct Dark Red Metallic is one of the most iconic colors for this generation Camaro. So it's good to see that it was given a good respray later in life to keep this sunshine-friendly convertible shining in the sunlight. But the reason why we particularly like this one is it has the premium two-tone style with the gold lower body section and gold 15-inch alloys. It gives this car the look of a hot summer sunset. The convertibles were a relatively new addition to the Camaro lineup in '88, and they had a terrific style with the flat rear deck with well-integrated rear spoiler. The sporty style is also taken up a notch with the addition of the hood louvers and side decals that give this the added appeal of an IROC-Z tribute.
The tan convertible top fits sung against the car, and the color goes nicely with the exterior theme. But for real distinction finished all in in an earthy brown, you need to fold back the top. There's just something extra nice about the two-tone tan interior. It has something to do with such a well done look on the classic pattern, or maybe it's just because this is done in a comfy velour (always an asset when the top is down.) As you slip behind the wheel, you'll feel the factory three-spoke unit has been specifically developed for comfortable hand positioning while still getting a clear view at the full gauge package. This one is loaded with a power windows, power locks, tilt steering column, cruise control, and the factory Delco AM/FM/cassette stereo. Plus, the factory air conditioning has been converted to R134a and will just need servicing to keep you cool again.
These third-generation Camaros are especially desirable for what's under the hood. After all, we all love a classic that also includes a fuel-injected V8. The 305 cubic-inch powerplant has the right balance or power and big torque to be smooth on the highway and quick off the stoplight. And this one was made to remain a great cruiser, including investment in newer fundamentals, like the belts, hoses, gaskets, and alternator. It's the kind of car you can take near or far thanks to great all-around around driving features like the four-speed automatic transmission w/overdrive, power steering, power brakes, front discs, and sway bars front & rear.
This one has an awesome color combo, great features, V8 power, and awesome drop-top appeal. So it's the total package classic that's absolutely irresistible at this value price. Call today!!!
