Extremely rare triple black 1968 L-89, 427/435 Corvette, NCRS Top Flight winner with 97.5 over all score. Very Rare #'s matching 427/435 topped off with L-89 aluminum heads. A frame-off, nut and bolt restoration was preformed on this incredible black convertible that has achieved NCRS judging status to achieve the coveted Top Flight Award. The car has validated NCRS judging sheets with an overall score of 97.5. Under the hood of this ominous black street beast is the original numbers matching and date code correct 427/435hp engine topped off with the rare L89 aluminum heads giving this car brutal horsepower and making it one of the most desirable Corvettes, being only one of 624 L89 cars produced. Topped off with correct Winters snowflake intake, correct tri-power setup and ignition shielding. The body on this curvaceous Corvette is impeccable with tight lines and and mirror finish black paint as well as newer chrome. According to the previous owners this car was a no hit car with bonding strips intact before starting the restoration process. The trim tag was judged and validated as being a true black car with black interior making it even more desirable. The interior was also restored during the extensive restoration process and shows very well with wear free bucket seats, clear crisp gauges, topped off with a black soft top and matching black hard top. This car came from a high end collection where it was driven very sparingly, stored in climate controlled environment and kept on jack stands to avoid flat spots on the tires. Less than 1200 babied miles driven since the frame-off restoration. The blue chip muscle car retains its original M-21 close ratio 4-speed transmission backed up by its heavy duty posi-traction rear end and power disc brakes to control the power. Rolling on correct Corvette rally rims and redline tires for that pedigree look. EXTERIOR: Beautiful Tuxedo Black paint with a deep shine code 900 on the trim tag Two tops both convertible top and removable hardtop Excellent gaps and body lines Restored chrome and stainless trim Very nice original shaded glass New 427 emblems and hood chrome Correct restored rally wheels with new chrome trim rings and center caps New Redline Firestone Super Sport tires
