Car description |

10,250 actual mile time capsule! Judged 98.8% original. It was given a gold award at the 2015 and 2016 Camaro Nationals. It was also given Benchmark status which only applies to the most original examples.
It was never forgotten about and neglected. It has been properly cared for all its life, stored in a climate control environment. It functions like it did when new. Still looks beautiful too. Loads of documentation and complete owner history with stories and pictures. 1st owner had it until 1991, sold with 2,893 miles. He bought the car, got married and had kids shortly after. Need I explain more? He has forwarded pictures of the car going back to 73 including his wedding day. The person we acquired the car from owned it in 2001 with 8,979 miles. He acquired it a 2nd time when he had the chances (paid considerably more).
EXTERIOR: Pristine virgin body. It is straight, fits right, has no rust or damage. Mostly original paint. 50 hours were spent carefully polishing the paint, it still looks practically new. The stripes are factory painted, the overspray in the trunk jamb is correct. The glass, chrome, moldings, grill, emblems still look like new. Door jambs are spotless, weather strips and window seals are like new. It has 2 of the original tires it was born with. The other 2 are original date coded tires were located and installed.
INTERIOR: It is pristine condition. It's not even dusty, stinky, faded or cracked. Literally, it looks brand new from carpet to headliner.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Completely as it left the factory. Of course all #s matching. It has smog system, reproduction battery, correct hoses, clamps etc. It is correct down to the smallest detail. Being a Benchmark car means this would set the standards for other Camaros being restored to concourse condition. Features include power steering and brakes.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Immaculate, like new and its original. The original spare has never been used, the ink stamps are still on the tread. The factory spatter finish is mint. The original insulated trunk liner is like new. The jack is complete. Weather strip, wiring, taillight housings look new still. There is a fire extinguisher that was installed in 1974.
UNDERSIDE: Very original preserved condition. It hasn't been spray canned or messed with. There are factory paint markings still clearly visible. The M20 close ratio Muncie 4-speed is original vin # matching. It has a new Concourse reproduction Gardner exhaust system.
This is one of the best (if not the best) original 2nd generation Zs in the country. They can only be original once, this can never be duplicated!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
