Car description

Wow, a real 70 Chevelle SS with #s matching motor, trans, rear and colors. Body off frame restored to show quality original condition.
EXTERIOR: I am highly impressed with the outside of this car, the paint is far better than it was when it was new. The body is excellent, it is laser straight from the rocker panels to the roof. Everything fits really square and flush. The doors open and close amazingly well. It does have a actual cowl induction hood with the functional flapper and hood pins. The metal flake is laid out evenly, the clear coat is polished like glass. Stripes are painted the correct dimensions, no vinyl top. It is slick as teflon, really, it even feels slick. You can't feel the stripes. Every piece of exterior trim has been replaced- the grill, emblems, bumpers, lenses, hood pins, wiper arms, all the stainless moldings around the wheel wells and windows, the door handles and mirror. The windshield is new. The door jambs are painted just as slick as the outside. They have new weather strips, window seals, door latches and sill plates. The SS wheels are restored properly painted silver with gray inserts. The trim rings and center caps are new and the BF Goodrich tires look new.
INTERIOR: It's restored beautifully inside too. Down on the floor it has new carpet, new center console and new reproduction GM seat belts. The seats have been recushioned, reupholstered and have new chrome trim. The door panels and armrests were replaced. The dash area is all new. New set of factory SS gauges and tachometer. The clock is working. The whole instrument panel is new. The knobs, vents, heater control panel and dash pad is new. It has an original AM radio. The original steering wheel does have a couple of cracks. The headliner was replaced, it does have a few wrinkles. The new dome light works and it has shoulder belts.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: #s matching 396-350 hp. It has the correct casting, codes dates and the vin is stamped on the front of the block. It has factory manifolds and carb. The cowl induction air cleaner system is complete. It also features power steering and power brakes. New cadmium plated booster, new master cylinder. The engine bay is all painted gloss black. The alternator, brackets, pulleys look new. Upgraded with an aluminum radiator that's been painted black. The clutch fan, hoses and shroud look new. It has an Interstate battery. It is bolted down properly, has reproduction spring clamp cables.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Completely clean, solid metal with a tidy coat of spatter finish paint. Bottom of the trunk lid and the jamb are as slick as the outside. It has new weatherstrip.
UNDERSIDE: The body was removed from the frame and it was detailed like a model car underneath. The entire chassis was stripped and painted gloss black. All the steering and suspension was completely rebuilt and detailed. It has upgraded Bilstein shocks. It has the F-41 suspension which includes sway bars and boxed rear control arms. The brakes were completely redone, it does have disc in front. The emergency brake cables are hooked up. It has a new fuel system upgraded with a polished stainless tank and straps. New lines and sending unit. New correct exhaust system, even has cowbell tips. Looking up at the motor it's still spotless. The starter, fuel pump and flywheel cover look new. The Turbo 400 automatic trans was rebuilt. It is VIN number matching to this car and has the 1970 tag riveted to the side. Original 12 bolt rear end with 3.31 gears. We were told it was rebuilt. The floors were restored and are all metal. Painted red oxide primer like the factory did but then clear coated for a durable, glossy finish. Then the body was reunited with the chassis using new body bushings.
I did not realize how long its been since we've had a 70 Chevelle SS with #s matching and restored stock. This one is in stunning condition. It's an investment you will enjoy owning.
