Car description

This auction is for a 1959 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster. It belongs to my best friend who I am listing it for. The car has a 454 big block motor with a 5spd standard Tremic Transmission. New headers with dual exhaust exiting out the exhaust extension in the rear bumpers. Has a posi rear end (not sure of the gear ratio) and the rear end is custom possibly a currie. Has front disc brakes. Has an alum radiator with aux fan. Custom guard bar just below the oil pan exhaust. Believe the car has some street race history in it's past but have no paper work to substantiate. The body of the car is in very nice shape. Great line, decent paint, everything fits well. Looks to of had a very minor repair on inside passenger front fender. The frame and underside of this car is in remarkable shape. No repairs or patch work of any type. Has a hood scooped hood but we have the original hood that is painted like the car and included in the sale. Soft top only no hard top. All the chrome and stainless is original and in fair condition. Glass is all good. The interior of the car including carpets, door panels, dash, and seats are all original and in decent condition. All gauges work with the exception of the speedometer. We do have the door lock nibs for the interior. The car has a 6500 rpm tach so I would assume the car was originally a fuelie car. The car runs and drives super but there is a questionable noise that developed this week in the motor. Sounds to me like a bottomed out lifter. My friend thought it could be a wrist pin noise. But the noise is not that evident. It reves well but you can feel an ever so faint vibration at about 3500 rpms. We do have a video of the car running if that helps. I encourage anyone that is interested to come see the car in person if you can. We have a current NH registration and all proper dealer paper work for a smooth transaction. We require a $1000 dollar non refundable deposit at the end of the auction and balance to be paid within 3 days of auctions end.
