Car description |

1969 Impala 2 door Custom Coupe 396. 1969 396 (NOM) with about 20k miles since it was freshened up. The original Turbo 400 trans was serviced about a year ago along with the 12 bolt rear end( 2.56 gears) had a fluid change at the same time. The car has factory power steering & power Disc Brakes and runs & drives well. The 396 has the original intake & carb from the original engine but was updated with a 268 Comp cam & an HEI distributor. aprox 5000 miles ago. I replaced all the hoses, heater core, fuel gauge sending unit, water pump, starter.fuel pump, power steering hoses, voltage regulator, horn relay, spark plug wires, fan clutch etc.. as I was looking to have a good solid driver I could drive anywhere.
The body & paint are driver quality & show well but are NOT show quality. The paint is Base Coat Clear Coat and the roof is painted Black & cleared under the new Vinyl top as well. All the glass is good although the windshield is scratched down low from the passenger side windshield wiper. All of the weather striping was replaced except for the window sweeps. The horn, wipers, heater lights all work like they should, but the bulb must be out on the heater control as the dash lights work on everything but the heater control.
The interior panels were originally Green and were dyed Black & are in fair driver condition. The passenger side rear panel was torn in a few spots and was poorly repaired. The dash pad has a dash cap on it that has a crack in it. The carpet & headliner are new and look nice. The original AM radio is still in the dash but is not hooked up and I have an AM/FM CD player mounted under the dash hood to a pair of 6x9 speakers in the rear shelf.
The rally wheels are 15x8 in the rear with a pair of 255x60's BF Goodrich TA radials on them and the fronts are 15x7 with some Goodyear 215x70's Both front and rear tires still have good tread.
All in all its a nice driver classic muscle car the whole family can ride in & enjoy. I have been driving it 3 or 4 times a week and the car has been an enjoyable dependable car that always gets thumbs up and waives where ever I take it. The car is an original 396 car & I do I have the "born with" #'s matching 396 long block that came out of the car I would sell separately from the car if the new owner wants it. It will need a full rebuilt but its all there minus the intake & carb as they are on the 1969 dated 396 currently in the car.
I have a Clean & Clear NM title in my name in hand and the car is currently registered & insured. If you have any questions you can call me at 505 917 2375.Please only make offers if you are serious about the car & already have the funds to complete the sale.
If shipping the car, it is the buyers responsibility... I prefer cash in person but understand that is not always possible, if paying with a cashiers chec, neither the car or the title will be released until the funds fully clear.
Thanks for looking & have a great day..
