Hello bidders, up for auction is my 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS350 Convertible Tribute. This car was born as a Camaro and not an SS and raised in the dry state of Texas. I purchased this vehicle from an older couple back in April of this year (they owned it since 2011) and brought it to my home in Mass. It has been the family ice cream getter and out for evening cruises with the wife all summer long. I have 5 toys and this is the one we use the most but my garage only holds 4 vehicles so the least expensive needs to go. It has been all sorted out and is a pleasure to drive. Turns heads and gets thumbs ups every where we take it. It is a Factory a/c car but currently not in the vehicle. I do have all the components as you can see in the photo gallery. It has Power steering and power brakes with disc brakes up front. Cowl hood. Power convertible top. Factory tilt wheel. 3 speed automatic on the column shifter. Trio of under dash gages were added. Built 350 engine with aluminum heads and almost stock appearance. I have the specs on the motor and a Dyno sheet showing 290.4 horse power at wheel contact. It truely sounds awesome. 10 Bolt limited slip rear end. It has been freshly tuned, all dialed in and sorted out. It has the rarely seen Hounds tooth black and white bucket seat interior for the 1968 model year. More commonly found in 1969 models but offered late in 1968. Looks great with the white stripe and white top. The interior was done a few years ago but it still looks fresh and new. Very comfortable seats both up front and in the rear. The window regulators have been rebuilt and all 4 windows roll down with one hand. No dash board cracks of any kind. Please look closely at the pics, this interior is super clean. I replaced the convertible top, pads and new latches back in April of this year shortly after purchasing it. The odometer reads 27438 miles and works as it should. The folks I purchased it from claimed that those were the actual miles but the Texas title only shows exempt where they would list the mileage. So with that being said I am not sure if the miles are 27438 or 127438. Either way it is not the original matching numbers drivetrain. The gage cluster and heater controls work as they should, are clean and clear and light up properly. It has an am/fm stereo with speakers up front and a passenger rear quarter panel mounted power antennae for your cruising pleasure. Everything works as it should with the exception of the windshield washer pump. It is the switch as the pump has tested out fine. I purchased a new switch from YEAR ONE but have not installed it yet. If I do not install it I will include it in the glovebox for the next owner to install. Otherwise it all works as it should, even the reverse lights which are usually a problem on first generation Camaros. The trunk is highly detailed and correctly splatter painted. It has the jack, lug wrench and full size spare, it also has a hounds tooth trunk mat in place. The gas tank has been replaced with the fuel pump and sender so the gas gage is accurate also. This vehicle has all 4 cocktail shakers, so it drives correctly. It sits on 15 inch ralley wheels with BF Goodrich Radial tires. The paint shines great and is in great condition. It has had a few chips touched up here and there but looks and shows terrific. I would have to point them out for you to notice them. This is not a Barrett-Jackson car or museum piece but an awesome driver that you can actually use and enjoy. I would classify it as a #2 driver. You can park this car, go out to dinner with it and not worry when its out of your sight. The chrome bumpers and door handles have no pitting and shine as they should. The stainless and other bright trim pieces are all in great driver to show quality condition. The bottoms of the doors are not mudded up and the wheel opening lips are beautiful. The panel gaps are as they should be as you can see in the pictures. It is a highly detailed car with all correct emblems decals etc in all the right places. I have gone threw the brakes and front end components and it needs nothing except a new home. The under carriage is beautiful and dry. This car has always been in Texas. It has the original quarter panels and floors with NO PATCHES or issues underneath. ALWAYS a dry Texas car. Clean and clear open Texas title. No disappointments. Come view at my home. I have a lift at my house to check it out underneath. I have a low reserve on this vehicle as I do not want to have to search for a place to store it in for our New England winters. I do reserve the right to end this auction at any time as I do have it up for sale locally. I also have a classic car dealer offering me money for it. They have come up twice on their offer but are still a 1000. away from purchasing it. I am sure it will be much cheaper purchasing it from me than a big over priced classic car dealer. I will answer all questions and send pics of anything you request. My name is Michael and you can reach me at 413 537 2433. If you win the auction please contact me for payment. I prefer cash in hand or bank wire transfer as I do not like PAYPAL. Thanks and happy bidding.
