1964 Chevrolet Chevy II Nova SS Pro-Street – 483 Miles
Body: 1964 Chevrolet Chevy II Nova SS. Rear wheel wells stretched 5” and a 2” cowl hood added that is supported by Eddy Marine billet strut support hinges. All body work and paint done by Dean Parsons Clover Ridge Hot Rods in Albany, Oregon. Paint is Deltron 2000 Toyota Barcelona Red. Wheel wells are coated with bed liner and under body is all black enamel. Front, rear and roll cage are painted with Hammer Rite silver coating. All tin work is done in steel and welded and seam sealed to the chassis.
Chassis: Full 2”x3” frame with chrome molly cage connected to a Heidts front clip with rack and pinion steering and independent suspension. Brake calipers are Wilwood that are chromed along with the support springs. Chassis is built to certify to NHRA 8.5 specifications. The rear is a Ford 9” with a Strange aluminum center section with a spool and 430 gear. 4 link with torsion tube and X locating bars supported by single adjustable Strage coil over shocks. Billet specialties wheels wrapped with M/T streets 32x17.50x15 tires. Brakes are 4 piston Wilwood with Lokar Emergency brakes. Master cylinder is Wilwood feeding a Hurst line lock for the front and proportioning valve for the rear.
Wiring: All wiring is Painless wired with everything fused and all wiring wrapped with convoluted tubing.
Interior: The interior has purposely been left undone to show the quality of work that went into this car. Has Pro-car seats with certified RJS 4 point cam lock harness. Headliner was installed when the car was assembled.
Motor: Roy Paolo/Guy Mitchell Gen V 4 bolt block with 2 piece rear main seal at 468ci. Scat crank shaft, H-beam connecting rods with ARP fasteners. The compression ratio is 13.5-1SRP pistons. The cylinder heads are Merlin 111’s with a 2.30 intake and 1.90 exhaust. The cam shaft is a Comp Cams mechanical roller with a .740 lift. Rocker arms are also Comp Cams with a 1.7 ratio and a Comp Cams stud girdle. Intake is a Weiand Team G with a modified 1050 Dominator carburetor. The carburetor is fed by an Aeromotive fuel cell with an A1000 in tank pump. All supply and return lines are stainless steel braded that are run inside the frame and regulated by an Aeromotive #13204 regulator. Ignition is an MSD 6AL with an MSD starter saver combined with a MSD Pro-billet distributor. All pullies are March billet.
Transmission: Transmission is a stock case Turbo 400 with a reverse pattern TCI valve body and trans-brake and a deep cast pan. Converter is a 4000 stall. All topped with a CSR carbon fiber shield and a B&M Street Bandit shifter.
Battery: Initial starting power is supplied by a Deka Intimidator dry cell battery located in an aluminum battery box in the trunk. Battery cables are run inside the frame.
Gauges: Boese Engineering, speedometer, tach, oil pressure, fuel level, water temp and voltage that all fit in a custom bezel in the original gauge location.
Spark plugs: Autolite AR133 set at .024 gap
Motor oil: Valvoline racing 20W50 full synthetic
Rear end oil: Red Line 75W90
Transmission oil: Red Line Racing ATF
