Only 1,172 miles since the nut and bolt, body off frame restoration. I can personally vouch for this one. I drove it home and it used ot the following day. I say at a bank drive up window on a 94 degree day for 20 minutes with the a/c on! It accelerates, stops, steers functions like new. Gorgeous car with all the upgrades you want.
EXTERIOR: Absolutely stunning looks but you don't need me to tell you that. A 1970 Chevelle in dark metallic blue with white stripes, no vinyl top and a big set of polished- it doesn't get much better. It even has a functional cowl induction flapper. The body is in excellent condition, I don't see any signs of cracking, bubbling or problem areas anywhere. The metal flake is laid out evenly and the clear coat is polished smooth like glass. The body panels fit square and flush. All of the exterior trim looks like it's been replaced including the stainless moldings, emblems, handles, mirrors, bumpers etc. Also new grill, marker and tail light lenses. It even has all new glass. The door jambs are painted slick like the car. Weather strips and window seals are new. Sill plates are polished. Stripes are painted on correctly and smooth to the touch. It has polished Budnick wheels with G-Force performance tires. 19s in front, 20s in back.
INTERIOR: Everything inside the car is new from carpet to headliner. High quality interuor from Legendary. It is upgraded with 3-point retractable seat belts in front. Down on the floor it has new carpet, reproduction floor mats and a new center console. The seats have been completely restored with new cushions, upholstery and trim. The door panels are new including armrests, handles and cranks. Overhead the headliner, visors, mirror and dome light are new. In front of me is a completely new including the instrument bezel, factory gauge package, dash pad, knobs, vents etc. Upgraded retro stereo with 6x9 speakers in the back. Also updated Vintage Air heat and a/c controls with electric slides instead of cables. Budnicks steering wheel matches the wheels!
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The 454 motor has Hi Perf cast on the side of it. It has square port heads with an aluminum intake, big giant dual feed Holley carb with electric choke, Mallory electronic ignition system with blue spark plug wires neatly run to the engine and a set of coated headers. Everything in front of the motor looks new including the water pump, billet timing chain cover, pulleys, alternator etc. It also has power steering with new hoses, the power brake system looks new. New Vintage Air heat and a/c system. Upgraded aluminum radiator with two big electric fan keep it running cool. There is also an auxiliary vacuum pump to compensate for the performance cam. The wiper motor, wiring harness, hood latch and battery look new. Washer bottle is hooked up, battery is bolted down. Everything is painted up real smooth and nice, fire wall is smooth. There is a custom filler panel in front of the radiator and a custom cowl vent.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The metal is clean and was spatter painted and clear coated. Then it was professionally boxed and upholstered. Bottom of the trunk lid and the jamb are as slick as the outside. Latches and weatherstrip are new.
UNDERSIDE: The front end has been completely rebuilt and upgraded with polyurethane bushing and H.D. swaybar. Bottom of the motor is real clean, the starter looks new and it has chrome flywheel cover. It has a Jasper turbo 400 automatic transmission. In back it has boxed control arms, Hotchkis heavy duty sway bar and new shocks. 12 bolt rear end has a Moser aluminum cover and 3.73 posi gears. Custom Flowmaster exhaust with crossover pipe was very neatly bent. New fuel and brake lines front to back. The brake system has been upgraded with drilled and slotted discs at all four wheels, the emergency brake system is complete. The metal under this car is super clean and dry, it was prepped and painted very nicely.
Off course I was impressed by looking at it. When I drove it, I was double impressed. The new owner can show and go the day it arrives!
