This 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Tribute has a seriously mean midnight appearance, and it's awesome to have a seriously built big block package it all up. So dig into the details on a powerful coupe that has everything from a wicked growl to four-on-the-floor.
Matte black is absolutely mean. But the well-done satin finish also lets the light show off how good the body panels are. The bumpers and trim are even nice and bright. Of course, people may be a little too intimidated to give you a compliment because of the blackout SS grille, competition-style Torq Thrust wheels, meaty rear tires, and that large power bulge in the cowl induction hood.
The full blackout of this hardtop continues inside. While this looks like a pure performance-minded package, they did take the time for some nice upgrades. The covering on the seats, door panels, and headliner are newer items. And the glovebox hides the modern AM/FM/CD stereo. Bucket seats are always preferable in a driver-focused coupe like this. Plus, they upgraded your whole experience with a sports steering wheel, SunPro auxiliary readouts, a Hurst floor shifter, and a large SunPro tach prominently in the center of the steering column.
When you pop the hood, you get a good look at a true beast. The engine bay is filled with big block power, and it all looks fresh because there's only about 650 miles on this performance build. The 454 cubic-inch V8 was built with Brodix BB Race-Rite oval heads, Clevite HighPo main/rod bearings, Holley double pumper four-barrel carburetor, aluminum intake, and Headman long tube headers. You also have the right supporting components, like a March serpentine belt system, MSD 6AL ignition, and an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. This is a seriously strong package, and you take full control over its fury and thunder thanks to the four-speed manual transmission. This feeds a 12-bolt rear end supported by a sturdy ladder bar setup. Plus, you have power steering, power brakes w/discs up front, and wide BF Goodrich T/As.
Dark, mean, and awesome...this is what an extra-power Chevelle hardtop is all about. Don't miss this true muscle car, call today!
