Car description |

This 1970 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible is an all-around well-done car. The numbers matching V8 has been enhanced for extra power. Plus, there's a handsome A/C interior, the control of a four-speed, and an attractive factory-correct color combo.
Cortez Silver is one of the brightest and most distinct metallic colors offered on the Stingray, and it was only available for two years. So it's great to see the factory-correct hue really drawing attention with its shine. It also helps that the body panels are quite crisp with the shark-like pointed nose, flush-fitting headlight doors, and shapely rounded fenders. The result is a sunshine-friendly convertible that radiates with pride in the sunlight. Nice chrome bumpers, proper Rally wheels, and an added luggage rack all add to the shine and sophistication of this Stingray.
Black looks terrific against the silver. So not only do you have it on the newer convertible top, but also the factory-correct leather interior. This all has a highly authentic and original look, right down to the optional AM/FM radio. There's an unmatched feeling as you grab the three spoke steering wheel (power steering), gaze at the large speedo and tach directly in front, and see your full auxiliary gauge panel at eye-level. It makes for a package that begs you to get in and drive. And since this was built for top down fun, the factory air conditioning is blowing nice and cold to let you enjoy this long into the summer.
The engine is the numbers-matching 350 cubic-inch V8. It gives off a stock first impression with plenty of correct Chevy orange and the bright air topper. But when you take a closer look you'll see this V8 is enhanced for added power with a Holley four-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock intake. So it even feels a little like an LT1-style setup in the engine bay. The motor fires up readily and runs strong. When you get out on the road, there's also the unmistakable feel of a solid driver. And when a Corvette feels confident, it's a terrific thing. The control of the numbers-matching Muncie four-speed, fully independent suspension, and four-wheel disc brakes are the kind of package that will make you take the long way home from the car shows.
The sale comes complete with the owner's manual packet, and there's also the original window sticker that shows all this car's cool original features. So if you love a classic that you can show off, talk about history, and really enjoy the drive, you need to get your hands on this total package Stingray. Call today!!!
