PLEASE CALL ME AT (76O) 8O5-803eight WITH ANY QUESTIONS. I WILL BE HAPPY TO DO A BUY IT NOW FOR SERIOUS BUYERS.INTERNATIONAL AND OVERSEAS BUYERS WELCOME. PLEASE READ THE WHOLE AD!
This is a very rare and very desirable Mid-Year Vette. It is a matching #s, 72,000 original mile 1966 Corvette 427 Roadster that came from the factory as a true 900AA code triple Tuxedo Black car. They only made 1,190 with these paint codes in total. When you factor in that was the total production whether it was a Coupe, Roadster, Big Block, Small Block, automatic, or a 4 speed, this car is even more rare. It has it's original matching # 427/425 horsepower L72 engine, original 4 speed manual transmission, and original 4.11 posi traction rearend. The Corvette is a factory sidepipe car. It was also optioned with the knockoff wheels originally. It has both the hardtop and the convertible soft tops. How many more chances do you think you will get to find a real deal, matching # 427/425, 4 speed, two top, sidepipe, Knockoff, true Triple Black car that is actually reasonably priced?
The car has been in the garage and stored properly. It was still being driven within the last couple of years. The water pump went out and there were quite a few leaks so the engine was pulled to have it re-sealed. The engine has been re-installed and bolted in but the car is not currently running. However, everything is there to re-install and make it a runner again. I certainly have too many projects and definitely not enough time. Here is somebody's chance to get their dream car at well below what some of the others are selling at. If I do get a chance to get to it and make it a driver again, the price will go up significantly.
The car has been repainted a long time ago and is older driver quality paint. It is not show quality by any means. I like them like that so you can actually take them out and drive them. If you prefer a perfect NCRS Top Flight, 1000 point Concours winner that lives in one of those stupid plastic bubbles it's entire life, this is not the car for you. This is not a $100,000+ show car and is not priced like one either. The frame is in excellent condition. The black interior is in excellent condition. The upholstery, dash pads, etc. are all nice. Original AM/FM radio. 6500 redline tachometer. Factory 4 speed shifter.
This is a great car but still a bit of a project. However, it is most definitely a worthwhile project. Clean, clear title in hand. The reserve price is set to sell the Corvette COMPLETE WITH THE KNOCKOFF WHEELS. This particular set are not original to this car but are real Kelsey-Hayes Knockoffs. I could use them for one of my other cars. They are a complete set of 5 KO wheels. IF YOU DO NOT WANT THE KNOCKOFF WHEELS I WILL SELL FOR $5k LESS.
I will also be listing my 1962 Corvette Fuel Injected project car if anybody is interested.
IF YOU HAVE READ THIS FAR AND WANT TO KNOW IF YOU CAN DRIVE IT HOME, PLEASE START OVER AT THE TOP!
I would consider doing some horsetrading on an interesting Corvette, Mustang, Muscle Car, or a steel body Hot Rod. Please be realistic with your trades. Just because you don't want your junk any more doesn't mean that I do either.I am located in Cardiff, CA in North County Coastal San Diego. Inspections in person are encouraged. Thanks and good luck!

Thank you for the tremendous response on the car. I am doing my best to try to get back to everybody but my phone has been ringing almost non-stop. The Corvette was a running, driving car a couple of years ago and I do have all of the parts to put the car back together. The exhaust manifolds, sidepipes, fan, fan shroud, distributor, water pump, air cleaner, ignition shielding (it is just the main base part of the shielding. I do not have the smaller side pieces and I believe it is reproduction anyhow), plug wires, pulleys, thermostat housing, etc. It is very complete. Thanks!
