There isn’t much more American than a red Chevrolet Corvette convertible! This 1965 is a very nice restored example of the American Dream! Under the hood sits a 350 that has been detailed out and left almost completely stock. Even the distributor cover is still in place. Finned valve covers and a chrome air cleaner with the correct 327 badging make this Vette ready to show. The interior is also restored with black vinyl bucket seats that put you in perfect position to handle the 4-speed manual transmission. The interior is also very stock and correct with the exception of the AM/FM/Cassette that was added at some point. The convertible top is new and professionally installed. New Hankook white wall radial tires wrap correct Corvette wheels with knock-offs to finish off that classic Corvette styling. The original color combination has been retained on this Corvette. The Rally Red paint (code UU) has been professionally resprayed and ties in nicely to the correct standard Black interior and top color. Only 3,688 Corvettes were painted this color in 1965 out of almost 24,000 built. This was the first year for standard 4-wheel disc brakes, which was a great improvement! The Chevrolet Corvette is an icon, and this is what most people think of when thye think classic Corvette.
