Up for auction today is my 1986 Corvette. It is a good Ultra low mileage solid car that is in need of some restoration.I am the secound owner and have had it since 1988.Mechanically the car is sound. The 5.7 tuned port engine runs perfectly and the transmission operates as it should.Suspension, differential and any other major mechanical items work well.Due to health reasons the car has not been used in several years,However I have it stored at a friend's repair shop and they start it and drive it every couple of weeks to keep everything going. The frame of this car is solid and has no rust so it wouldn't need a frame off restoration. From sitting the paint has severely faded, but the body and fiberglass are in excellent condition except for a square that I had to have cut out of the hood to access a broken release cable(I have the cut out piece so it can be fiberglassed back in)The sun has dried out the seats on the interior and caused the leather to rip apart. The interior is not as bad as the pictures show.I have a lot of panels removed because I had to access a security module. The power windows and door locks need to be repaired from sitting,as well as the radio. This would be a great father/son project seeing as the car runs and does not need any major mechanical or body work.Drivers side t top is cracked and needs to be replaced. Also needs new hood release cable and security module(forty dollars on Ebay). Please email me with any questions or concerns that you may have before placing a bid.
