“I had the front clip off and repainted by an acquaintance back to the factory color. The car was repainted back in the 90s the wrong color blue and frankly it was not very good paint work. I literally began removing that repaint by using rubbing compound. What you see on the driver door is back to the original paint, though it doesn't look right anymore. Inside the doors and jambs is still the original paint. The body, floors, trunk and frame are very solid. I'm working on reinstalling the roof rails with new soft seal window seals. The trunk lid has some minor rust on the rear lip and underneath the front edge. Comes with a California car cover. When I bought the car came with a photo album and a sheet that showed some of the maintenance done over the years with the mileage. Apparently, a previous owner took it to some shows back in the 90s, maybe early 2000s. It still runs and drives well. The front end probably has had parts replaced because I was surprised how well it handled on the 200 mile trip I just took. The mechanic I took it to before driving it investigated low compression on the #8 cylinder and determined the intake valve isn't seating properly. I don't think this engine has ever had any internal work done to it, so not surprising, though it ran smoothly for me on the 200 mile drive.”
