Car description

1967 CHEVY II 300 with 48,418 ACTUAL DOCUMENTED MILES

NO RESERVE SALE.......PLEASE DO NOT BID UNLESS YOU ARE SERIOUS
This little car is an original "Granny" car we have all heard about but never reallyhad a chance to buy.........HERE'S YOUR CHANCE
This car comes with ALL the original documents where I'm getting the info explained below in my description including the original keys, all owners history, owners manual, accessories brochure, the color selection chart, warranty booklet including the protecto-plate and what's left of the original plastic Chevrolet bag it all comes in.
It was purchased brand new by an older lady in Red Bank New Jersey from Circle Chevrolet also in Red Bank on Jan-31-1967. She owned the car until May-07-1982 when she sold it to a gentleman in Shrewsbury NJ with a total of 20,819 miles on it. The gentlemanwho wasthe second owner kept the car until August 23, 2019 when he sold the car to thethird ownerwho lives in Philadelphia, PA with only 48,172 miles. The third owner decidedto sell the car and on October 4, 2019 with 48,319 miles I became theproud new owner. When I asked the seller why he was selling the car he told me, "It's just toonice to turninto a hot rod."
I've owned this car a little less than a year and all I have done is drive it once in a while and do some very minor adjustments. The rest of the time it sets in my climate controlled garage. Just like the 3rd owner I purchased it to build a hot rod likean L-79 clone as I have done several times previously but just couldn't talk myself into it.I considered doinga 6.2 LS swap with 4L80e trans, 9 inch Ford rear, vintage a/c, and allthe rest and again Ijust didn't feel right about that either. I understand what the 3rd ownerwas talking aboutand why he sold it.
Fact is I'm not going to be the one to change a thing on this little car. You see, "It'sjust toonice to turn into a hot rod".
It's not that I can't build a nice hot rod or clone, it's just that I can get that done starting with about anything. We've all seen those TV shows. Replacing 1/4's or fenders or floors is no bigdeal when I have a car builtit's just a shame to do it to one like this that doesn't need any of thatplus it has sucha great history with all the documents as well as the story and not to mention thealwaysscarce seldom found warranty book with the original "Protecto Plate".
I have decided if I can get most of my money back I will pass this great little car on.
Is this car perfect? NO! Here's what I know about it. First of all it starts, runs, drives, and stops great. There are no fluid leaks of any kind. Everything works except the horn. All lights, signals, dome light, wipers, emergency brake, heater, blower motor, radio etc all work. All windows roll nicely and the doors, hood, and trunk lid open easily and close with that good solid sound. The hood has some rust bubbles all alongthe leading edge and one right in the center of the hood. The hood probably needs replaced as it just shouldn't be on this great little car. There are 2 rustspots the size of a large pencileraser on each rear wheel lip. The doors and floors all look good and the trunk and trunk lidare nice as well.
It has a new oil change, anti-freeze flush and fill, and I had to replace the rubber hoseconnector between the fuel filler tube and tank, it was rotted and leaked. This car came from the factory with a rubber floor mat and no carpet. The mat on thepassenger side is torn and someone cut a piece to cover it. It does need a new glove box interior box that I have included with sale.
The car show awards shown in the last pictures are from the time of the second owner. The latestand largest was a 3rd place finish from 2010.
I WILL BE HAPPY TO HELP WITH TRANSPORTATION AS NEEDED BUT ALL SHIPPING FEES WILL BE BUYERS RESPONSIBILITY.
ATTENTION............. NO SURPRISES.......... I still have the original PA title from the 3rd owner BECAUSE PA requires the true miles to be listed on their titles for all year models and in Missouri, where I live, does not.In Missouri anycar over 10 years old the title states the miles are exempt and I am not going to break thechain of proof of the actual true miles. This is what is known as an "open" title. It is correctand still legal, signed by the 3rd owner seller with true miles stated but not dated and does not show my name on it as buyer.I dohave a bill of sale showing me as the legal owner. All you need do is enter your info inthe correct places on the title OR I WILL BE HAPPY to get a new Missouri title in my name if you desire and don't care about the mileage documentation, BUT ONLY AFTER THE CAR HAS BEEN PAID FOR IN FULL.If this presents a problem for you or you don't understand what I'm saying then DO NOT BID.
PAYMENT....$500.00 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT VIA PAYPAL MUST BE PAID WITHIN 24 HOURS OF END OF SALE TO SECURE VEHICLE. REMAINDER TO BE PAID WITHIN 72 HRS BY EITHER CASH IN PERSON ORBANK TO BANK WIRE TRANSFER. NO OTHER FORM OF PAYMENT WILL BE ACCEPTED.
