Car description

Hello everyone and thanks for taking the time to view my listing. This 1987 Silverado is a prime example of the end of a glorious automotive era. As I'm sure you know, 1987 was the last year the square body Chevy 1500, but the first year for throttle body fuel injection. This truck has all the brass and glory of the classic squarebody style that we all love, but it also has the reliability of fuel injection. It's so nice nothaving to worry about pumping the gas each time you go to start it and it's also nice having a square body thatisn't cold natured. The 87 Silverado truly is the best of both worlds. This 87 in particular is a phenomenal truck that has been very well taken care of all of its life. It has never been in an accident and it still retains all of its original paint (although it's faded and missing in several spots). This truck has always been a southern truck and this one of the nicest bodies that I've seen. Ihaven't found any rust anywhere on this truck and it is as straight as an arrow. This Silverado is fantastic inside and out. The interior is superb for its age, it looks as good underneath as it does on top, and it runs perfectly smooth. If you have any experience with long wheel base trucks, you know that they ride much more comfortably than a short wheel base truck. This particular truck rides great and since it has the optional 350 (not the 305), it has plenty of power to enjoy as well. Below, I will do my best to describe this truck to the best of my ability. Please take the time to view all of the pics below and review the description thoroughly.
Undercarriage andDrivetrain
The undercarriage is in fantastic condition with no rust shown. The engine andtransmission are both dry and appear to have been very well kept and all preventative maintenance has been performed. The engine shows new belts and everything appears to be as good as can be for an originalautomobile built over 30 years ago. The engine is missing some paint here and there, but all the original bits appear to be intact. The factory breather intake hose is even still attached. Factory paint markings still appear underneath and even the balljoints appear to be original. Thereisn't a single thing that I've seen underneath that anyone could be disappointed in. See below :)

Exterior
Theexterior of this ole girl has obviously been loved and enjoyed, but it's also very obvious that it hasalways been very well taken care of. There are no major dings, dents, scrapes, or scratches to be found, but there is lots of fading and missing paint due to age. It does come with a very nice tool box in the bed as well. The fenders, hood, grille, doors, rockers, bedsides, bed floor, roof, etc are all in excellent shape. The tailgate is also fantastic, but it has more fading and morepaint missing than any other panel on the rest of the truck. If you've seen the pics and read this description, there is nothing on this exterior that could possiblydisappoint anyone.

Interior
Theinterior is in excellent shape for its age although itdoes have a few flaws. The dash has a few cracks that can easily be seen in the pics below, but they are minor considering the age of thistruck. The door panels and trim panels are in great shape, but have beenre-dyed due to fading. They look very good. The carpet on the floor and door bottoms is original and is in great shape. It is all original and has not been painted over or re-dyed. The original vinyl seat cover is in great shape, but has had a few vinylstrips replaced. It is very hard to tell that anything has been repaired or replaced on the seat cover, but I want to be as transparent as possible. The whole vinyl cover has been re-dyed, but it is perfectly soft and supple just asyou'd expect inside a very nice vehicle. The headliner was replaced with a material that is very close to the original color and it looks great. All in all, theinterior looks excellent and should make anyone looking for a nicelypreserved, unrestoredinterior very happy. See below:

Under hood and Misc Pics
Below are under hood pics showing just how nice and original this truck is. Also there is a close up of the mileage which has rolled over. It is actually 117k rather than 17kmiles.

Now that you've seen all of the pics and read the description, I hope that you know just hownice this truck actually is. It is sold as-is, with no warranty. The buyer is responsible for shipping, but I can store it for anyreasonable time as long as it's paid for. My name is Matt and my cell is 662-416-0900. I'm happy to answer any questions that you might have and I'm happy to show the truck to any potential buyer before an offer is made. Good luck and God bless.
