Car description

!!!!!1972 CHEVROLET K5 BLAZER!!!!!

Up for auction is my 1972 Chevrolet K5 Blazer. This is a great survivor type rig out of dry eastern Washington were it spent it's whole life! I purchased this Blazer completelystock and original. It still retains is original born with 350 sbc that has been rebuilt along the way and run's great! It is backed by a TH350 with a mild shift kit. Still has it's original 205 transfer case as well. The Blazer is supposed to have 112k original miles but I have no documentation so hard to prove. Either waythis K5 has been well preserved through the years. I own and have owned several first generation K5 Blazers and built this one to use as my personal driver . It has a great look while retaining about 90% of it's original paint. The body is very solid including floors, doors, fenders, core support, firewall, windshield frame, rockers, rocker boxes, quarters and tailgate. The original ochre paint is still holding up very well with just a little patina for character. This Blazer was born more of a base model but came from the factory with all you really need, 350/TH350,Power disc brakes,Power steering ect. It has the highly sought after single wall top that is in great condition as is the hatch. Also still retains it's original and hard to find seats that have all been recovered with new padding. Also replaced the visors and dash pad . Has a new 4inch lift kit with new shocks. Original steel wheels with period correct caps and brand new 33.10.5.15 tires! I have sorted the rig out mechanicallyso it can be used as a daily driver if the new owner chose to do so. Full tune up on the motor, changed all fluids, installed new factory fuel tank and fuel pump, new battery as well. It was pretty common on the 67-72 trucks as well as the 69-72 Blazers and Jimmy's to have what was referredto as saddle tanks installed due to the fact that the factory tanks did not hold enough fuel for long trips. These days we don't really drive these classic across the country so the saddle tanks have been deleted and only the fuel doors remain. The motor runs very strong with no weirdnoises . Holds great oil pressure and temp. The transmission shifts nice and firm through all the gears. Everything works as it should on this rig. I built this to be my driver. I own and have owned several frame off pavement princess K5's and wanted one that I could load the bird dogs up in and drive down a gravel road without worryingabout it. The rig is also still nice enough to be a hit at cruise night! Everyone loves it and gets lots of thumbs up when cruising around town. Well I have switched gears and found a 72 K20 Cheyenne that I am doing a full restoration on and figured I would list this one and see if anyone is interested. These first generation Blazers are a great investment right now. It's nice to drive a vehiclethat appreciates instead of depreciates every year! If you are in the market for a solid great looking K5 that is a turn key driver and wont break the bank you might wanna check this one out. I have priced this one very fairly and to sell. Check out what's available out there and the prices. I think you will find that this 72 K5 is one of the best deals out there. Nothing clears the head better then a topless drive in a classic Blazer in the summer!!
