Car description

You are bidding on my 1969 Chevelle Malibu Sports Coupe.Car is a relatively ‘unmolested’ original car (i.e., no mods).Car is 95% complete, and has good bones for a project/restoration car.Body is solid with little body rust, however car has some floor rust and needs left third trunk and left rear passenger pans.Appears to have new left front fender. Car would be good candidate to get road worthy inexpensively, then fix while driving.

This car was prepped for paint a year ago, and has light surface rust where the primer was taken down all the way (see photos); all trim has been removed (included).Previous owner was repairing car vs. restoring it; I have done nothing with it in the 7 months I’ve had it.

Car was originally dark green interior and exterior.

The Good:

-Newly covered front seat

-New headliner (90% installed)

-New carpet and padding (not installed)

-New battery tray

-350/2bbl automatic (modern electronic ignition) Engine block code T0I29HD

-Factory 12 Bolt rear end (coded CN 0124B = 2.56 gear)

-Super Sport hood (rusty on bottom, exterior looks fine). An original SS hood, not a repro

-All glass and regulators good (except windshield as noted below)

-Factory air car (non-working)

-Factory PS

-Drum brakes

-Comes with car cover

-Clean SC Title

The Bad:

-Engine runs, however concerned about old fuel tank, so have only run with fuel line hooked directly to fuel pump and run to gas can (have additional used gas tank to go with car)

-No belts on front of engine, and PS pump is connected to steering box, but off to side.

-No battery

-Windshield has 6 inch horizontal crack on right side

-Bumpers are dinged up but appear usable; front left bumper bracket bent

-Air conditioning system only has about 80% of under hood parts (mainly no compressor).Interior a/c parts appear to all be there

-Crack in dash pad, above radio

-Muffler looks semi-crumpled, however car is quiet while running

The Ugly:

-Needs new pan on left side of trunk and left rear passenger seat. Some other tiny holes (see photos)

-Rear bumper that came with car appears to be from a station wagon (backup lights in bumper)

-Patch to right rear lower quarter (see photos). Can’t tell if patch panel or just bondo-ed (repair looks reasonable)

-All trim stainless appears to be there, however some of the stainless has minor damage from amateur removal job

-Tires hold air, but are not roadworthy (good for rollers).

CAR SOLD AS IS, so if you have questions, please ask prior to bidding.Tried to list as many issues as possible. Please look at photos.
