1961 Corvette Roadster, Sateen Silver, Ermine White Coves, and Black Convertible Top. The car is numbers matching (VIN # 10867S107863 and Engine Stamp Pad # 1107863F04I9CS, where the CS indicates 315 hp fuel injection). See pictures. The 283 cubic inch, 315 horsepower engine came with factory fuel injection (13% sold). The car has power windows (6% sold), 4 speed manual transmission, auxiliary hardtop (1961 date coded windows), positraction 4:11 rear axle, and heater. 1The black convertible top is a new install. The car is good old fashion American muscle (listen to solid lifter cam engine in Video link, it makes a Harley sound weak). The car is a blast to drive, extremely reliable, driven regularly, rides great, and has incredible acceleration and handling. I enjoy the car on nice weekends going to local car shows, car cruises or joy ride but could easily be a daily driver. It definitely gets its share of attention. I have been pursuing Top Flight status using the NCRS 1961-1962 6th Edition Corvette Technical Information Manual and Judging Guide for all part buys. The car is not far off Top Flight status without it being a trailer queen. I have paid attention to every little detail from having the correct sunvisor hardware, and Guide mirrors to the engine decals. All the heavy lifting has been done on this restoration project. The chrome is mirror perfect, the paint is flawless, the interior is new, and the car runs like a top. It has new brakes, clutch, shocks, and exhaust. The engine was rebuilt at about 89,000 miles. The fuel injection unit was just rebuilt and calibrated to factory specifications by Lyle Davidson of Davidson Restoration in Leesburg, Va. (receipt and documentation). All the FI parts were either cad plated or are new. After seeing the car Mr. Davidson states in a letter that "The entire restoration used many NOS and or period correct pieces to construct, and a remarkable amount of craftsmanship went into it." All gauges and instruments work as designed (oil, battery, fuel, temperature) and illuminate including the emergency brake and high beam indicator dash lights as well as all exterior lights, turn signals, clock, and license plate light. The radio that is installed is a 100% looking Wonderbar replica with the exception that it has FM and an Ipod jack. The FM numbers are recessed in the dial and not seen without looking into the dial face (video). To kept period correct the electronics were adopted so to switch between AM/FM/Ipod you simply turn the radio on and off quickly. I have sent off the original Wonderbar AM radio for restoration and will provide it to buyer. The undercarriage looks new. The body restoration and engine work were done between 2007 and 2008 (receipts). The tires are reproduction wide white wall radials. The front end was just aligned and the wheel bearing packed. The speedometer and clock have been rebuilt. New gas tank and sending unit, new 4:11 differential gears and the hardtop has a new windshield weather strip.Matching white wall spare tire, original sissor jack, crank handle, lug wrench. The 1961 GM Accessories Tool Kit snap lid clear plastic pouch (Vlchek Drop Forged tools - 2 wrenches for hardtop, one for the spare tire board, pliers, flat head screw driver and hammer). Try to find this tool kit yourself, you won't I promise you.The spare tire board has GM factory jack instructions and positive trac caution decals. The engine compartment has all the correct decals. Also has the GM paint care sticker inside the glove box door. All decals and emblems are installed and factory correct.I have all previous titles back to 1981, as well as all the restoration and maintenance receipts.
