Car description |
---|
This hot looking Chevelle has a long list of desirable features! There are 3 folders stuffed with restoration documentation.
EXTERIOR: Stunning tuxedo black. I'm looking in the reflection and it is like a mirror. Looking down each side of the car is completely straight. It has a metal cowl hood, no ugly vinyl top. There is a couple thousand dollars in new trim. Front end and backend bright work is new, wheel well moldings and bowtie mirror are new. The door jambs are painted glossy, bottom of the doors are clean, has new weatherstrips and sill plates. $1,000 for all new glass, it has also been tinted. Boyd Coddington Magneto wheels- 17x7 in front, 17x10s in back with performance tires.
INTERIOR: Leather interior from a CTS Cadillac. Both seats are power and even has lumbar support and the shoulder retractable belts built right in. The backseat is also leather and has a fold down armrest with cup holders. The headliner is new and it fits nice and tight. Has a custom mirror and overhead dome light. New premium carpets. New door panels, armrests and custom billet handles. Custom Dakota Digital gauges. The console was custom fabricated out of metal and has a B&M Hammer shifter. This is a very comfortable interior.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Here sits a completely rebuilt 496 stroker big block. It's got GM aluminum heads with some tall Chevrolet aluminum valve covers. It also has a Dart high rise aluminum intake with a giant Demon carburetor. The engine builder estimated 550 horsepower, it sounds and feels like that is very true. It has an MSD digital ignition system. The front of the motor is decked out with billet pulleys with a serpentine belt, billet bracket, a polished a/c compressor, polished alternator and it has the upgraded 605 power steering. It's kept running cool with an aluminum radiator and dual electric fans, a polished overflow bottle and a Stewart aluminum water pump. Upgraded power brake booster and master cylinder.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: New trunk floor welded in, solid as a rock! It has a new mat. There is a box of miscellaneous extras and a car cover.
UNDERSIDE: The front end appears to be completely rebuilt. It looks like new tie rod ends, ball joints, bushings, sway bar and upgraded QA-1 gas shocks. In back it has boxed control arms, new sway bar and QA-1 gas adjustable shocks. The bottom of the motor has an extra capacity oil pan and a mini high torque starter. It does have the flywheel cover. The Turbo 400 automatic trans had a performance rebuild, the receipt will be included. Also has a trans cooler. A balanced driveshaft with replaced u-joints connect to the 12 bolt rear end. It has 33 spline axle kit, forged yoke, 3.73 Duragrip posi gears and an aluminum cover. Upgraded CPP brake system with disc all four wheels. i noticed it does not have parking brake cables. New fuel system including a tank, sending unit, straps and lines. It has a very cool custom exhaust system. Starting at the motor it has some really wild headers that even wraps around the frame and then it connects to some fat pipe with electric dumps, a crossover pipe and Flowmaster mufflers. It sounds great, when you open the dumps you can wake up the entire neighborhood! The floors, braces, rockers appear to be clean metal. The floor pans under the bucket seats were modified to accommodate custom seats.
I bought this car out west. It has a tall stack of receipts and literature documenting the build. Only a few hundred miles since it's been finished. This car gets the juices flowing upon first look. Then start it up, open the dumps and your pulse will quicken. Go for a drive and let the real fun begin!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
