1955 Chevy 2-Door Post Project Car. This car has spent its entire life in sunny dry Texas. Bought new by a doctor for a woman who was the nanny for his children. she drove the kids to school and picked up groceries, it truly was a little old ladies car. When she passed away a few years ago her son took possession of it and the last 2 photos were when he pulled it out of the garage untouched original condition. He had always wanted the car and as soon as he got it started working on it. he removed the old 6 cylinder and 3 speed trans and that is long gone now for scrap. He removed all the trim on the outside and worked on some of the creases and dents on the sides and primed the back half of car. (I also wish he would have left it alone) The paint you see on nose, roof and in the Trunk is original. he removed most of the interior and the cracked glass. The dash is untouched with original radio and trim as well as steering wheel. The seats are in excellent shape with exception of covers. All of the window trim is still in original paint and present. I must have misplaced some of the regulators as I only found 1. All the hardware he removed was carefully bagged. the front floor pans had a very small amount of rust and he went ahead and installed front pans (again wish he hadn't touched it) the rest of the floors and structure are about as nice as you will ever find, just look at that trunk. all of the Stainless trim moldings are present except 1 upper door molding, even the little joiner pieces on windshield trim are there. Front and rear bumpers are complete wit all braces. Grill, grill Moldings and headlight trim are nice enough to use as is. I only have the rear glass shown. If you look under the hood you will see the linkage and z-bar still hanging in it and the 4-speed pedals are still all there and untouched. The only mechanical work done was he cleaned front frame and replace all the front suspension so it all new and installed a front disc brake kit with Booster, Master Cylinder and lines still in packages. The old vintage mags are 14" and were just rollers but they don't leak down and are included with car. Car has both its Original VIN tag and Body Trim Tag in Place. I had it retitled in my name and with correct vin number since all original Texas cars from 1955 used the engine number on the title but is now correct and open. Shows 33162 Miles but probably 133162 can not verify. If your looking for a solid project 55 I cant believe there's a better one out there to start with. any further questions please message me through ebay.
