We are selling our historic 1952 Chevy 3100 Pick up truck, It's former owners were from Middleburg,VA. It has a history of drag racing on the east coast in the 1960s. We restored the outside for the showroom and the engine and transmission have been restored to how it was during the drag racing days.
Here are a few reasons why this would be a good to buy for your business:
1. It's almost like a traveling museum- It Drag raced in the 1960s
2. It connects with the nostalgia of the boomer generation, everyone has a parent or uncle with one of these. Not to mention every Christmas ad has one on it this year
3. It's roadworthy to be in parades, community events or outside of a biz location etc,
4. Tax code section 179 allows this to be written off as a corporate expense to lower corporate taxes if purchased before the end of the year.
I bet you know a business owner, or individual that would be interested in this. This is one of kind because of its history in the MidAtlantic region. Please share this with anyone in your network that may be interested.
Here is a little more about the truck
1952 Chevy 3100, Pickup truck, was used in drag racing in the '60s '70s in the Washington DC Area. Recently painted British Racing Green. The body of the truck was restored inside and out. The engine and transmission, suspension, and differential were kept as close to the original that they used in Drag racing.
The first major overhaul of the truck was done by Star Pontiac in Leesburg under the direction of Service manager Tommy Middleton in the '60-'70s Many of the repairs were to make the truck ready to drag race at Old Dominion Speedway.
Replaced the Master Cylinder
12 bolt Rear end, Posi track 4:11 Gear Ratio
Chevy 350 engine
Headers
TH 350 Xmsn- Automatic Transmission
Rear Tractor bars
Fenton Vec Master Wheels
Dual Exhaust
Rochester 4 Barrel Carb

The second Major restoration was started in 2017 and lasted till 2019. I bought it because it was one of my goals as a child to restore a 50's Chevy 3100. I also wanted to use the truck as an advertising piece for a local business. Once I got started, I realized this truck had a lot of local history and probably belonged more in a museum or publicly displayed outside a shop or in parades. Here is the list of recent work done on the truck.
New Carburetor
New Gas Tank
New Gas lines and filters
New wiring harness
New marker, tail, and cab lights
New upholstery, door handles, etc
New bed wood, custom wormy oak
New plugs, wires, ignition
New gearbox and steering wheel
New tires
Frame undercoated
Extensive Bodywork, while keeping original fenders, cab, frame, and 1960's reprint tailgate.
25K Paint job-British Racing green.
New brake Calipers and pads
New Master Cylinder
New rear brake cables
Replace valve cover gaskets (no engine leaks)
New Gauges
A few weeks ago I drove it from Alexandria to Chantilly and it was like being in a parade, this truck could be used as a daily driver, in parades, and community events and it will turn heads as it goes by. The perfect toy to have during this time of social distancing.
This truck can be driven as a daily driver, perfect for joining a car club, or great for a museum, or to promote a local business.
We can ship, buyer pays for shipping.
