1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396. The most desirable year and make in the GM Line up of Muscle cars. We purchased the car as a restoration for a client and as many have dreams of grandure, couldn't afford the ending number. We have since sold him a very nice driver, but no longer need this one. That being said, check with your wife, dog, father in law, or bank before you bid on my car please. This car needs and deserves a restoration and you will not hop in it and go zipping down the road, drinking beer with your buddies next weekend. Here is what I know about the car. I will take pictures and answer your questions to the best of my abilities so please ask away.*The car came out of Alabama with previous history in Georgia for most of its life.* It currently has a Nebraska title clean and clear in my name.* a partial build sheet that I was given in a zip lock bag that shows the L78 option ( see pic)* NOM 396 engine in it which is the wrong year and does not turn over but is a complete long block.* turbo 400 automatic transmission with the vin of the car clearly visable on it, which I believe only came with big block cars.* Correct 12 bolt rear end with boxed in trail arms that only came on the SS 396 and 454* Correct Heavy duty sway bars front and rear* correct big block radiator* power disc front brakes* power steering* original dual fuel lines in the frame (big block)* Dash metal is very good and no rust in the corners at all, one small crack on drivers side pad, but extra will come with it.* New seat covers front and back* New door panels* New carpet* New quarter panels both sides, installed correctly from what I can see.* New front bumperThe trunk appears to be in fair shape with no holes and the gas tank has been dropped, cleaned and new tank straps installed. There is one patch in the rear drivers side floor pan that is a lay in.The car will need a frame repair or a new frame as it has some welding repair in front of the firewall on both side. ($800 locally). The paint is amature and I would completely repaint the car, but I'm also in the business of doing that.If I haven't talked you out of the car yet, ask away and bid away. I appriciate full disclosure on any vehicle I sell as my reputation is worth more than a couple thousand bucks to me or as any of my clients will tell you in the past 33 years of doing this. The car has a low reserve, and will most likely not recoupe what we have in the car, but it would be a great project for the do it your selfer andbe worth the money in the long haul as you can see. We've dealt in collectible and muscle cars for 33 years, have a perfect rating on eBay, and still deal on honesty, and a hand shake.
