Car description |

Gorgeous Corvette Coupe with all number's matching drivetrain! Highly optioned with 327ci/300hp V8, Automatic transmission, factory air conditioning, power steering, power disc brakes, power windows, AM/FM radio with power antenna, knock-off aluminum wheels, telescopic wheel, headrest seats, and more! A great find!
Corvette will forever be America's oldest official sports car with a bold tradition of building a 2-seat, performance oriented vehicle for the past 66 years! Through the good years, and arguably bad ones, there is a Corvette to catch the attention of almost any enthusiast. The C2 Generation is wildly considered among the most desired for classic car collectors the world over. These comprise of the years from 1963 to 1967. With their beautifully sculpted body lines and improvements with independent suspensions, 4-wheel disc brakes, and various engine options, it's easy to see why they consistently find values increasing year after year! Not surprisingly, convertibles always outnumbered the coupes by nearly 2 to 1 ever year making the coupes highly desirable and rarer to find on the open market. Especially since the coupes are more likely to have factory air conditioning!
We are very excited to offer this 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe finished in popular Nassau Blue (976) over very desirable White Vinyl (450) interior! This heavily optioned example comes with its factory appointed, numbers matching HO-code 327ci/300hp V8 engine, Powerglide automatic transmission, and 3.36:1 rear axle ratio. Additional factory features include air conditioning, power steering, power 4-wheel disc brakes, power windows, all Soft-Ray tinted glass, Delco AM/FM radio with factory power antenna, wood steering wheel, telescopic steering column, very rare headrest seats, windshield washer system, carpeted floor mats, and glove box lamp. This example was later fitted with new cast aluminum knock-off wheels wrapped with period correct Firestone Deluxe Champion 6.70-15 whitewall tires and upgraded leather seating surfaces.
This extremely sharp Corvette was restored in frame-up fashion in approximately 2000/2001. It continues to possess a solid, no-hit body with all factory bonding strips in place with very good fitment and gaps on the headlight buckets and doors! All original LOF Soft-Ray glass remains in place with exception to a new replacement windshield. Inside, no modifications are present and all features are in full working order. This includes strong power window operation, factory radio & power antenna, electric clock, all dash instrumentation, air conditioning, headlight motors, dash & courtesy lights, and all safety items.
Built in January 1966, it retains much of its correct drivetrain components:
- Block casting: 3858174
- Block casting date: L 20 5 (December 20th, 1965)
- Block VIN stamp: 6111046
- Block date stamp: F0103HO (January 3rd, 1966 - 300hp/Powerglide combination)
- Holley Carburetor: List-3367
- Distributor: 1111076
- Harrison Radiator and Overflow Tank- both bear 1965 stampings
- Rear axle code: AK 12 23 65 (December 23rd, 1965- 3.36 Std. ratio)
Accompanying this car will be a reproduction owner's manual with plastic sleeve, radio instruction card, aluminum wheel maintenance card, spare tire tub lock & key, and all tire changing equipment.
