Car description |

You can have a lot of fun with this car, people are not expecting to see an L-79 motor under the hood and a 4-speed on the floor in a four door Nova. I bought this car from someone that has restored some high Chevelles. He built this car for fun. Started with a clean 80,000 mile car that had been parked for many years.
EXTERIOR: Beautifully restored to a high standard. The body is absolutely straight and clean, fits really nice. I don't see any bubbles or issues. Factory code D- mist blue. The metallic paint is laid out evenly, clear coat finish is polished out to a smooth glossy shine. All of the chrome and trim is bright. Most of it looks new. Has the bowtie mirror and bumper guards. It also has rally wheels with new trim and reproduction Wide Oval tires. The look door jambs are clean, weather strips are still the original. Has original metal door edge guards. Windshield looks new.
INTERIOR: Very nice- partially restored, partially original. The instrument panel is in very nice shape, the heater controls are clean, has original am radio. Inside the ashtray looks like it hasn't been used. The dash pad is new, also has a new glove box pouch and owner's manual. New headliner and visors overhead. New carpet on the floor. The seats and door panels look like good original. It has GM seat belts front and back. He even installed the correct hump in the floor, correct shift boot and curved shift handle for a bench seat with the reverse lockout and white shifter ball.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: People will be surprised to see what is under the hood. An L-79 327-350 hp motor. It is detailed to concourse factory condition. The motor is completely rebuilt and has the GM aluminum intake, double hump heads, Holley carb and the trademark chrome dual snorkel air cleaner. Also has new correct chrome valve covers and oil filler tube. Detailed with the proper orange overspray on the manifolds. Has GM hoses and clamps. Has a Delco battery topper with spring clamp cables. Cadmium plated bolts, new washer bottle, washers are hooked up. The engine bay is spotless metal that's painted satin black. Bottom of the hood is painted satin black, new hood insulation.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Also very clean. Still has the original spatter finish on the inside of the quarter panels, that means the original quarters are original. Trunk floor is clean and has been resprayed. Has trunk mat and tire cover. Has a spare and the jack. Bottom of the trunk lid and the jamb is painted nicely. Has new decals and weatherstrip.
UNDERSIDE: It is even cleaned up and detailed underneath. Solid floors painted black. Bottom of the motor and 4-speed trans look fresh. Rear end is cleaned and painted. It's a 10 bolt with a 12 bolt cover adapted to it. Dual exhaust system is new. Fuel tank and sending unit is new. Rear shocks are new.
What a fun car. Great conversation piece, people are surprised to see that motor and a 4-speed in a 4 door. It looks like the factory built it! Not to mention how fun it is shifting those gears in this lightweight car. Big fun for little price!
