Up for sale is my 1989 Chevrolet G20 conversion van with the 350 (5. 7 L) V8 Throttle Body Injection (TBI) engine. I bought this van in 1996 with 148. 00 miles on it. It had been owned by a salesman who racked up a lot of miles in just a few years. Current mileage is 223XXX. I love this van. It has served me well for the past 19 years. I used it to haul my drums and move from apartment to apartment in my 20s. to go on trips in my 30’s. and finally as a family hauler in my late 30’s and 40’s. It has been a terrific vehicle for me and the only reason I am selling it is because I bought a newer van and just can’t justify keeping two of these around. It runs and drives great. It just passed NC inspection. It is an NC vehicle. and to the best of my knowledge it has been its whole life. so rust isn’t an issue. The water pump and timing chain have about 23. 00 miles on them. Those were changed because the timing chain cover started to leak oil and once you get down to that part. you might as well change the chain and the water pump at the same time. Plugs and wires only have about 15. 00 miles on them. Recent oil and filter change. Features: Remote locking and unlocking with alarm Sony CD Player with Remote and Infinity Kappa speakers front and rear. Rear speakers are components with separate tweeter and crossover network. Front and Rear heat and A/C 2 inch trailer hitch receiver and 7 pin wiring Electric Brake Controller Module (never used – New owner should test the controller before using it) External Transmission Cooler Tachometer and transmission temperature gauge Folding bed Swivel captain’s chairs Power Steering Power Brakes Power Locks Power Windows Underneath lighting – on with courtesy lights (Defeatable if you don’t like it. I used it to see where I was stepping at night. ) Tilt steering column Cruise control Known faults: The air conditioning has been converted to R-134a and the compressor and dryer were replaced as part of that conversion. The system does lose charge periodically because R-12 systems were not designed for the smaller molecule R-134a. When charged it works fine. Items it will need in the future: Tires have a lot of tread on them (easily passed inspection). but they are 10 years old. The spare tire is new as of August and it has never been used. Title in hand.
