1969 Chevrolet Chevelle 2 door hardtop RESTOMOD. If you are looking for an instantly recognizable American classic car with daily driver performance characteristics - then this is it! Best of both worlds.
This 1969 Chevelle Malibu is equipped with a 2016 GEN5 LT1 6.2L with an 8L90E AUTO transmission. This is the same engine/trans found in the 16' Camaro SS (same engine in Corvette). The motor is an absolute beast with substantial amounts of power and torque making it a pure joy to drive. There are no internal mods to either engine or trans making it truly as reliable as it gets. The amount of work done is extensive and easily doubles the BUYITNOW price, not to mention the time it takes for a build like this.
Here is a list of mods, equipment and some of the work done:- 2016 GEN5 LT1 6.2L (376) with less than 5k total miles- 2016 8L90E AUTO transmission (8 speed) with MuscleRods hardware and conversion kit including transmission brace- ECM Mild tune with FFV option (runs on regular pump gas or E85)- Holley rotating accessory conversion kit (pulleys, alternator, power steering pump, water pump, oil-pan, etc...)- CPP front and rear disc brake kit conversion with Hydraboost power assist- All new SS brake lines, front to back as well as proportioning valve- 2 inch drop spindles- Stage 2 QA1 coilovers front and rear with stabilizer bars, tubular control arms, rear axle control arms (top & bottom)- Ford 9 inch rear end, brand new, built to spec with 3.72 ratio- custom drive shaft- RideTech steering components- New fuel tank by Tanks Inc with all new components, including pump and fuel lines- Aluminium radiator with 2x electric fans- AGM battery (battery relocated to trunk)- CAI with K&N filter- 1 7/8 headers by Muscle Rods- custom exhaust (deep rumble)- American Autowire wiring harness. Full re-wire front to back.- Dakota digital gauges with new instrument bezel- VintageAir air conditioning- New front seats by PUI- new 3 point front seat-belts- complete new interior including dash pad, A/C vents, steering wheel, carpet (with floor insulator sheets), headliner, front seats, rear seat upholstery, rear shelf, door panels, window cranks and hardware, headliner, sail-panels, new mirrors, etc....- newer front and rear bumpers- New 20" US Mags retro-look staggered wheels with new tires..... and more.
The list of components and conversion items are extensive as well as very costly and of high quality. It would take considerably more than the BUY IT NOW price to build and a substantial amount of time. The work was done by a well known local builder.
The vehicle drives with ease. I drive it daily without any issues. The external mods to engine give it ample power. It starts with 455HP from the factory. With headers and custom exhaust, CAI, mild-tune & E85 gas, it is estimated to produce 535HP+. It is an absolute beast. Power & Torque galore. Hit the throttle at any speed and it moves like an athlete! Fast and Furious!
The paint looks better in photos than it does in person. There are multiple scratches and chips in the paint, as well as fade in some areas. There is no obvious rust and the panels are straight. Floor-boards, trunk, etc.. are all solid.
If you are looking for a classic vehicle, recognizable (constant thumbs up), daily driver resto-mod beast, then this is it.
Inspections are welcome and encouraged. Third party inspections are welcome as well. Export is OK too. No joy rides and no release of vehicle or title until full payment is made.
