This is an American made 55 Chev Del Ray sedan. It has been lovingly cared for in the past 40 years by one family but is now being offered for sale. Much of the additional chrome and trim has been added over the car's lifetime. It did come with the original a/c and the tinted glass direct from the factory. Originally a 6 cylinder car it has ben upgraded to a mid sixties 327 with the good heads, rams head manifolds and a four barrel carb. The three speed manual also has a factory overdrive unit. The car has been well looked after with the lacquer paint still in great shape and the stainless and chrome bright and clean. The interior has been redone and comes with a leather dash cover, power antenna, power seats and power windows. It even has a rear window defrost. It is riding on new original looking pie cut bias ply tires and even has the original 55 spare in the trunk and one in the continental kit. The brakes have been upgraded with a dual master cylinder and disc brakes. The suspension has had sway bars installed front and rear and many other new front end parts as well. The floors and frame are perfect as are the body and frame mounts. I would not hesitate to drive this 55 right across the country.
