This auction is for a 1968 camaro convertible project that has had a complete drivetrain from a 2005 corvette installed in it. The corvette drivetrain had around 29,000 miles on it. This was an extensive build. Everything from the vette was used. All of the steerin, brakes and in dash heat and air conditioning components are installed in the camaro. The steering column and pedal assembly and brake booster are installed. The dash mounts are installed but need a few more holes drilled and a filler between the windshield and dash built to be completed. The seats in the pics are not included in the sale. They were just used for fitment. All of the hard work is done. It needs sheet metal filled in around the structure to complete. I have all of the brake lines, fuel line, vacuum and air cond. lines as well as the wiring harness and all computers from the corvette that should all plug back in. This was being built so that the computers would still think it was in a corvette. I also have the corvette radiato, condenser and fan, consol, radi, dash controls and other misc. pieces. The sheet metal has all been replaced but has a few dings from being around the shop. The top of the quarter panels are warped just a bit from the weld to the rear filler panel but will bean easy fix. I also noticed a spot of rust on the lower cowl behind the right fender that will need a patch panel. I'm sure I am forgetting some details but that and the photos should give you a good overview of the car. When finished this car will be very valuable. I am starting the bidding with no reserve for way less than the drivetrain and a camaro body would cost before the labor of the work that has already been done. I will update the listing if I think of anything else. email me if you have any questions.
