Have some fun this summer! Cruise with your girl down Highway 101 to check the sunset, take the kids for Ice Cream, win a trophy at the weekend Car Show, or just hit the beach. This car is ready to enjoy now. Pictures don't really do this car justice but please click on the link to the YouTube walk around video above so you can get an idea. This is just a very nice, very rare, and very cool 1964 Chevrolet Chevelle Super Sport Convertible 4 Speed. It has had a small fortune put into the restoration. It is a true SS. It is not a tribute, clone, replica or whatever other fancy word people want to use to describe a fake today. This is a California car that was originally built in the Los Angeles plant. There is no rust anywhere on the car. The body is in beautiful condition and it is extremely straight. The floorboards, frame, and trunk pan are excellent. As you can see in the pictures and video, the finish is like glass. While it is gorgeous and everybody that sees it drive by thinks that it is perfect, it does have a couple of scratches on the trunk and passenger side rear quarter as well as a few minor paint imperfections. I just want to be upfront and honest from the beginning so you are more than happy with your new Chevelle! Along with the bright red bucket seat interior, I do not believe there was ever a better color combination offered.
The original 283 cubic inch Small Block Chevy V-8 has been rebuilt as well as the original 4 speed manual transmission. It is a real 4 speed car. New clutch and pressure plate, new Hurst shifter linkage, carburetor completely gone through. The car runs very strong. It is equipped with power steering and power front disc brakes. The red bucket seat interior is excellent. I have never installed a radio back in it because I was undecided on restoring a stock unit or upgrading to a Bluetooth capable system. There is a small paint chip on the dash below the gauges. The black manual top is in good condition. There is a tiny hole in the plastic rear window about the size of a BB but it is still clear. Redline Bias Ply tires mounted on factory Rally wheels. The bumpers are in nice condition. This is a great car with a ton of money spent on it. It looks great and runs well. It is a true SS. Clean, clear California title in hand. All in all, you will have an extremely difficult time finding a cleaner one for the money. It is far nicer than a lot of them that are out there. It is not perfect but it is very nice. If you are looking for a Hot Rod or RestoMod type classic, this is not it. It is a stock style resto. Please be realistic with your expectations. You see a Mustang or a Camaro at every show or cruise night. When was the last time you saw a quality 64 Chevelle ragtop? I am located in Cardiff, CA in North County Coastal San Diego. Inspections in person are encouraged. Thanks and good luck!
