1981 Chevy K5 Blazer 2 WD
I have a walk around video that I can send you- I couldn't get it downloaded to this ad
5.3L engine- Dynoed at - 337HP 345TQ- stock bottom end-fresh 243 LS2 heads milled to 60CC chambers- Comp Cams custom grind cam .581 lift 224/224 .114- Comp springs and retainers- high volume oil pump- LS2 timing set- Ls7 Lifters- Hardened Push Pods- GM gaskets and bolts
T56 Transmission - Stock
Aluminum Radiator with Electric fan
Truck has A/C but is not hooked up
Rear suspension has tubular 4 link suspension with RideTech adjustable Coil overs
Front suspension - Stock with lowering springs
Wheels and tires are the STOCK rally wheels shown in some of the pictures- I have removed the aftermarket wheels that are in the first pictures- I was going to put the aftermarket wheels on another square body truck of mine but we can work something out if you want them.
Body is from Washington, 99.9 percent rust free and straight, it looks to have been repainted at some point, paint is nice but has been driven so has chips. the only rust I have found on this is the inner drivers door just below the door panel (small spot) and on the passenger floor under the door sill trim piece where the door bottom weather seal is- there is a picture of this viewed from the underside. Both of these spots can be easily repaired without any exterior paint work. All the floors are solid, the rockers are perfect. the rear floor by the back seat is rust free and the tail pan is too. - the typical rust spots in these Blazers are perfect on this one.
The interior is in good shape with the exception of needing new carpet, the front carpet is shot.
The seats appear to be original and are in great shape
DAKOTA DIGITAL Gauges
The truck runs really well, transmission shifts perfectly. It could benefit from some minor tuning changes, when slowing to a stop the RPM's will drop a little to low and will occasionally stall. The LS swap was done very well, the wiring is nice, good quality swap.
I have not owned this very long but I have identified a few things I would change if I was going to keep it (I have always wanted a 2WD K5 Blazer but I'm not a big fan of the color of this one so I have decided to sell it and look for a different one rather than painting this one, I have four other old car project going on right now...)
Here are a few things I would change/ finish on this truck:
There is currently an inline fuel pump and it works fine but I would recommend swapping out the gas tank for an 87 model year tank with in tank fuel pump
Replace the carpet and add dynamat
Change out the front lowering springs with spindles- it kind of follows groves in the road when driving
Hook Up the A/C
Minor adjustment in the tune
If you would like me to do any of the above items before you take delivery of the vehicle I would be willing to work it out.
I can send any additional pictures you may need, I also took a full walk around video I can send upon request.
Here is a I Cloud link to the video
I'm happy to take any phone calls, email me and Ill send you my phone number
thank you
