What looks better than a classic Chevelle? A black one. Garage Kept Motors is pleased to offer this super clean and fully restored 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle SS for consideration. The car was born at the Van Nuys, California plant as a Malibu and eventually moved to Utah where our client acquired it in 2006. The car came to Michigan in 2010 where it was professionally restored by Bush Autoworks of Comstock Park. Terry Gardner did the engine build to a level of perfection. No expense was spared and now the car looks mean, and drives the same.
This car was finished in Black, and it shows no imperfections, which is a high order with black paint. It is a mirror finish and beautiful from every angle. SS stripes were added in Graphite Gray, which really makes the body lines pop. Kudos to Bush Autoworks for a fantastic job on the body. Mr. Gardner was no slouch with the drivetrain either, dropping in a 496ci/520hp Big Block V8 mated to a 700R4 Automatic transmission with 3.73 rear gears. The motor has Jim Valako race heads, Crower crank and rods, and aluminum radiator. It runs with Brad Penn oil and was just serviced with an old change and grease job. It also has power steering, power brakes, and front disc brakes. The car is outfitted with Classic Air that blows ice cold. The wheels and tires are also new and really set this Chevy apart. It has a new electronic ignition system and a new battery as well. It is extremely clean from top to bottom and you won't find a corner cut in the body and engine build.
Black cars are hard to pull off well. Every guy with a paint booth simply cannot do it. But this car was done right. Its one of the cleanest we've ever seen and you won't be disappointed. Comes with all receipts and records too. Be sure to check out all the photos and video on our main website: Garage Kept Motors. Call if interested or e-mail with any questions. Thank you for looking.
