I have decided to put my 1968 Chevrolet Camaro up for sale. I have owned this car for about four years and I have not found the time or the money to restore it so I would rather sell it to somebody who does. Between having children. pursuing a college degree and currently being deployed. I hate seeing it around. I found the car as a sort-of "barn find" through a friend. His father owned the car for several years but in the early 2000s he parked it in his garage and it sat for nearly 10 years. Shortly after it was parked his son decided to make a project out of it and disassembled the entire vehicle. He then lost interest and this is how it remains. Most of the original parts are with the car but some items. such as a headlight. bezel. inner fenders. etc. are missing. It has been parked in my barn ever since. I do not know much about this car as I never had the chance to start working on it but I do know the motor and transmission are not original. The motor is a period correct 327 with a few minor upgrades (carb. cams. etc. ) that ran when it was parked but I cannot atest to this. The odometer states 82xxx miles but I do not know if this is original and the title states exempt. The front brakes were upgraded to discs and the fuel tank was replaced as well. As you can see from the pictures. this Camaro needs a full restoration it is an excellent canvas to start with. I have researched first gen Camaros for several years and am amazed at the prices people are asking for their cars. especially the ones with no motor. no transmissions. and even no title. This car has all of these items with very minimal flaws. Most of the front end sheetmetal will need to be restored and/or replaced and there is an area of rust in the passenger floor pan. There may be other minor imperfections as well but I have listed most of what I could think of. As I mentioned before. I am currently deployed and do not have cell phone service so please email me any questions. If anyone is interested in the vehicle. I have several family members who can show you the vehicle and hand over the title. I know this may be an inconvenience and I apologize in advance. Thank you for looking. I really hate to get rid of this car but I guess it is time to let it go to a home that will start rebuilding it.
