This 1987 Chevrolet Silverado is a great mix of classic style, distinctive upgrades, a ton of usability. So when a truck can stand out and still get the job done, you know you've found an impressive total package.
This Chevy has a bit of the street machine attitude. After all, the factory-correct Garnet Red has been given a recent respray really deliver a vibrant look. The high-gloss finish loves to show off the well-creased sheetmetal that keep this generation of Chevys popular. The chrome bumpers shine brightly, and so they go nicely with the upgraded Budnik 17-inch wheels. And those modern alloys look particularly sporty on this lowered suspension. But as good as this truck looks, it still never loses that practical side we want in a pickup. There's the rear step bumper w/hitch, wider trailering mirrors, and a new LineX spray-in bed liner that all mean this classic still knows how to get to work.
Inside is a highly stock interior. The black looks good against the red, and everything looks well-respected (this is only a two-owner truck.) There have been some of the right upgrades, including air conditioning blowing cold with modern R134a. We love this generation of pickup for the way the dash wraps around the driver almost like a sports car. You even have driver-oriented nice extras like a tilt steering column and cruise control, so this one can be comfortable for the long haul.
What makes the 1987 Chevy truck models so special is that it was the last year for the classic bodylines, but the first year you could get fuel injection. This gives the numbers-matching 305 cubic-inch V8 under the hood a real advantage for usability and performance. And while this built to be a true pickup more than a sports machine, the floor-shift four-speed manual transmission is a nice feature to give you full control of the fuel-injected V8. Add in power steering, power brakes w/discs up front, and modern BF Goodrich tires, and this is a smooth pickup you can easily enjoy near or far.
This Chevy has lived a good life and only in Tennessee, so it makes for a nice local boy with plenty of added flair. It's a great package offered for a great price, so call today!
