Car description

Hello!Up for sale is my 1968 Camaro. I inherited this Camaro when my uncle passed away 2 years ago. His hobby was restoring classic muscle cars after he retired. Unfortunately he didn't get to finish this one. He started a frame off restoration on the Camaro and spared no expense. Every nut and bolt has been replaced on this Camaro. The body was taken off the frame and the frame was sand blasted and powder coated black. Floor boards and quarter panels are original to the car and all are solid. I have compiled a list off the top of my head of what is new on the Camaro. Here we go:
NEW HOODNEW FENDERSNEW DOOR SKINSNEW TRUNK LIDNEW NOSE PANELNEW HEADER PANELNEW REAR BUMPERNEW WIRING HARNESS. (FRONT TO REAR)ALL NEW SUSPENSION INCLUDING LEAF SPINGSNEW GAS TANK AND FUE LINESNEW MASTER CYLINDERNEW BRAKE LINESNEW BRAKE DRUMS AND BRAKE HARDWARENEW FULL MAGNA FLOW EXHAUSTNEW CARPETNEW HEADLINER (SAIL PANELS NEED TO BE INSTALLED)NEW DASH PAD (NOT INSTALLED YET)NEW DOOR PANELS (NOT INSTALLED YET)NEW STEEL WHEELS AND TIRESNEW CHROME STEERING COLUMNNEW RADIATORNEW BATTERY TRAYNEW RADIATOR
The rear seat was reupholstered in custom white vinyl. The front seats are new but as you can see not original to the car. All glass is new but the rear chrome window moldings where in sad shape so he was going to buy new ones. The front chrome window moldings are new. The rear differential was also rebuilt with new seals and bearings. It is a standard 10" rear end with 3.73 gears. The 2 speed powerglide transmission was also rebuilt. You are all probably wondering why there's a 6 cylinder in this Camaro. My uncle told me the original 350 V8 blew up so he decided to put in a rebuilt 6 cylinder that he had available in the shop temporarily until he can build a V8 to his specs. The six runs great and has plenty of torque but nothing close to a V8. According to the VIN number 124378N312031 this Camaro was originally equipped with a V8 engine. There is no radio in the car. My uncle told me he was going to put one in after the paint job. He was going to paint the car it's original color which was LeMans blue. I have the original grille that just needs to be cleaned up. It has the original lights in it and also has an SS badge on it. I also have new grille mounting brackets. I do not have the front bumper.
I'm sure I'm forgetting some things but if you have any questions please don't hesitate to send me a message. The Camaro runs, shifts and stops perfectly. I have a NYS transferrable registration in my name. I can also be reached at 516 398 1204.
I can assist with auto transport but at buyers expense. Car will be released only when funds clear in the bank. The $500 deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE.
Thank you for looking and Happy Holidays!
