Car description

This Suburban is a rare gem indeed! I purchased this truck in 1991 with about 10,000 miles on it from the original owner's estate (he only used the truck in the summer to pull a small trailer). It was purchased to tow a 24' enclosed car trailer on antique car tours, which was only done during summer months and only for the following few years. Since then, I have hardly used the Suburban, only for an errand requiring a large vehicle's storage capabilities. It has been stored inside my heated garage every day under my ownership.
Exterior - The Suburban is in outstanding condition. The factory 1985 paint shines brightly with hardly a ding to be found. All of the body lines line up as nicely as they did off the showroom floor. The Suburban has never been used as any type of work truck, and it shows. The bumpers are straight and shiny, the plastic trim is tight, all lights look good and work properly. The original mirrors are tight and do not vibrate, even at speed. The accessory running boards are tight and straight, all emblems are nice and shiny, and all of the original glass is clear and clean. Underneath the truck looks wonderful. The truck was originally purchased in Massachusetts, where it was rustproofed off the lot in 1985. Because it was driven so little in the northern climate, the undercarriage looks outstanding (see photos). The tires are matching Michelin LT4. Although they are several years old, they do not display any type of dry rotting or other unusual wear, and have most of their tread still on them.
Interior - Wow. This is where the low mileage really shines. Since the Suburban has always been garaged, the dash is without cracks and shines brightly. All of the gauges work properly, the original painted dash is still in outstanding condition. The front bench and second row split bench are in spectacular condition. There are no funny smells in the truck and there has never been a smoker in it. The carpet is fantastic, as could be expected. All door panels are in excellent condition, and the original ashtrays on the rear door panels are unused. Unfortunately the original headliner fabric has come separated from the foam backing material (from the dry, heated garage). The foam is still soft, so the material could possibly be attached. With everything so original in the truck, I did not want to just have the headliner replaced in case the buyer wanted to have the headliner repaired. If the buyer is not partial to saving the original headliner, I will have the headliner professionally replaced once the Suburban is purchased and paid for.
Drivetrain - The huge 7.4 liter V8 starts right up thanks to a brand new battery and purrs like a kitten. It accelerates smoothly and the 3-speed automatic transmission (an option to assist with towing) shifts smoothly every time. There are no leaks or ticks or funny issues, just a nice running and driving truck. There is a slight vibration at about 55 mph, most likely due to the older tires, but it is otherwise a tight driving truck.
Options - Every single option on the Suburban functions as it did in 1985. The original R12 air conditioning system blows very cold, the heat is hot, there are no funny noises from the blower motor. The manual side windows all work great, and the power tailgate window rolls up/down fast and smooth. The original radio was replaced in the mid-1990's with a Pioneer cassette deck and it functions fine. All interior and exterior lights work perfectly. There is a factory heavy duty towing package on the Suburban including a manual brake controller.
This is an outstanding, low mileage example of an iconic American truck that really got the SUV craze going. It is ready for your entire family to hop in and drive to California tomorrow. The truck is located in Greer, South Carolina, and is available for pickup (I am about 15 minutes from the Greenville-Spartanburg Airport - GSP) or I am happy to work with a shipper that you arrange at your expense (once the truck is fully funded).
I have a clear South Carolina title in my name. The truck is currently registered and insured.
If you have any questions, would like to see a specific item photographed, want to come see the Suburban in person, or would like to conduct a walk-around via FaceTime, I am happy to accommodate this with you. Please just message me through eBay and we can arrange something.

On Dec-02-19 at 05:20:19 PST, seller added the following information:

THE "MINOR ISSUE" UNDER THE AUTOCHECK ACCIDENT REPORT WAS TO THE TRAILER. A CAR CLIPPED THE FENDER OF THE TRIALER. THE KY STATE POLICE USE THE VEHICLE INFORMATION, NOT THE TRIALER INFORMATION IN THEIR REPORT. THE SUBURBAN WAS NOT INVOLVED.
