GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1964 Chevrolet Corvair 95 Rampside Pickup for purchase. Chevrolet really aimed to take a bite out of Volkswagen with the Corvair line. While the sports car version of the series is very famous, not many know about the Corvair 95 (sometimes known as Greenbrier) series. There was a van and a pickup. The pickup came in 2 options, loadside & rampside. This is the rampside that has a side ramp for easy loading (also has regular tailgate in the rear). The bed is 9' long and multi-leveled. The 164cu in flat six cylinder engine is under the rear of the bed.
The truck began its life in California and at some point made its way to Montana. In 2003 it was purchased by its present owner and shipped back to Michigan. In 2004, a year long, extensive restoration was performed. The body was stripped by a professional body shop and redone with multi-coat paint and clear coat to factory-correct red paint with white stripe. It was given new chrome bumpers, new windshield, new body molding chrome, new door handles, new emblems as well. The bed was also sprayed with Line-X. The interior was upgraded to Deluxe Greenbriar trim level along with a new headliner, reupholstered seats and new carpet, new spare tire and jack. The AM radio was restored to original with new speaker. The odometer was reset to zero miles at this time. The truck also rides on new tires and has new brakes. The truck comes with service and technical manuals along with dealer brochures and receipts for the truck. This truck is in excellent condition and is sure to please.
