Car description |

Here it is! Beautifully restored and recreated in homage to one of the most famous Camaro builders of the 1960s - Don Yenko. More than just a clone, this Yenko was carefully crafted to recreate the original Yenko as accurately as possible. This car is easily mistaken for one of the original 427ci Camaros one could acquire through Yenko Chevrolet in 1969.
Under the hood resides a freshly built, period correct 427 cubic inch V8 tuned for performance. This car was built as close to original Yenko specifications as possible, retaining 12:1 compression ratio, correct square-port heads, correct intake, new 850 Holley carburetor, L88 camshaft, recurved conventional point distributor, etc. As you would expect, this Camaro prefers 105 octane fuel to perform at its best. As close as you can get to an original Yenko Camaro without a time machine!
Power from the 427 beast is managed via a Muncie M21 4-speed transmission, and delivered to the ground through the 12 bolt limited-slip rearend with street friendly final drive gear. All mechanicals are presented as correctly as feasible. All new brakes, brake lines, fuel lines, newly rebuilt suspension and steering make this beauty drive as new.
Outside, the beautiful Hugger Orange base/clear finish is complemented with the correct Yenko stripes and emblems, just like it did back in the day.
An immaculate black standard bucket seat interior is fully restored and presents as new, including correct Yenko badged headrests. A factory console houses the chrome Hurst 4-speed shifter. In addition, all new door panels, headliner, carpeting, etc. complete the new-car feel and appearance.
This beautiful recreation is available today at Art & Speed. 901-850-0507
