GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS for your consideration. The Impala offered here is powered by the optional 327Ci V8 which is mated to an automatic transmission. Both the engine and transmission are in strong working condition.
The exterior is finished in a beautiful coat of Goldwood Yellow paint that shows only minor signs of wear. Complementing the paint are many exterior chrome pieces that still shine as if new.
The interior is even cleaner than the already good exterior. Black leather front bucket seats are accented by chrome and aluminum finishes. The dashboard shows no cracks or signs of wear, nor do the seats or carpet. This is one of the cleanest interiors you will find in a classic Impala.
This Impala is running strong and shifting smooth. As for handling and ride quality, all four shocks were replaced in 2016 along with new front brake cylinders. In 2018 a new fuel tank was installed along with a complete carburetor rebuild. The car runs and drives very well. It starts up quickly, sounds good, and shifts smoothly. Its all setup and ready to cruise.
Coming off a successful year in 1963, Chevrolet continued its popular Impala model for the 1964 year with minor adjustments to the design and even some of the mechanicals. With a smoother finish overall, Chevy shaved off the pointy edges of the models before and added a more curved grille. The rear showed us a different car as well with its new "U" shape design surrounding the tail lights which went the full length of the back. These classic Impalas are a favorite among collectors and are sure to be at home in any garage or collection. Please call or email today with any questions or for additional information.
